Just over two weeks now since I've picked up my Gallardo. Driven it every day except for once when the weather was shocking. Had a stupid grin on my face every time - I was warned about that though. Even got the roof down once. Now have a serious addiction to the noise. I work from home which is not good as coffee breaks have now turned into 'I'll just take it for a quick blast' and last considerably longer than a walk to the kitchen. No problems so far and enjoying getting to know the car. Even cleaning it myself which no car has had to endure since I was about 25. Other half walked into the garage yesterday and said "...you do know, you've been out here almost 2 hours". Really? Funny, my 10 year old son is not interested at all and asked why I didn't get a Land Rover?! However the youngest can't get enough.

Washing the mistress is half the fun.... Water, bubbles, smooth bodywork, slow caress with a lambs wool mitt!! hehe one advantage of a coupe is you can give the engine a rubbing every now and them.... redfaceooh aaaah:

Now, if it was lime green, your 10yr old would be acting differently lol. Is he the one who'd you collect or is that another? As long as you are hsppy , enjoy..

Know what you mean. I test drove a LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica this week and haven't been able to sleep since.

All my pre-conceptions and no/no rules went out the window when I saw and heard the car - Unbeelieeeeevable

Looks fantastic and hopefully good bland of Italian flair and German engineering.

E-gear change was not as good as the 458, Mac or Porsche double clutch systems but it was better than my F430 F1 and gives you the sensation of changing gear unlike these ultra smooth new systems so it adds to experience not takeaway unless you are just trying to break some land speed record

IMHO I think the new stuff is too good to be fun and they need to re-engineer it somehow to bring back the "feeling" of speed and involvement

A lambo spider really is a FUN car, even if its not the latest and best it doesn't matter- Enjoy and look forward to more updates

Found myself lying on the floor in the garage next to it with no top on polishing the wheels. Was a bit sweaty and hot hence the half nakedness. The missus walked in, looked at me ... just chuckled, shook her head and went back indoors.

Yep, that's the one. 10 years old and he tells me that the car isn't really that practical! Lime green may of helped I guess. First time to get him was a 6 hour round trip. The old back was just starting to ache as I pulled up on the drive. Still loved it though.

The egear takes a bit of mastering, a lot better now than I was on the drive home! The down shift sounds lovely now I'm getting used to the box. The Edizione Tecnica looks SO nice. Unfortunately, it's well out of my price range at the moment. Do love my 2008 model though. Nicest car I've ever had so will do me for some time no doubt.

Ermmm, get rid of egear and fit all cars with manual gearboxes. Just a thought....

The drive takes me through the A1 tunnel at Hatfield. Can't really get much better than that locally

I got my one in April and have done 11000 miles already ! She sits on the drive every morning next to the Range Rover and other toys and gets in to my head!! The next thing I'm driving through the City!! Only then I realise she made me do it!!

I wash her with clean underpants put them in the tumble dryer and wear them on the days that I catch the train to work, just to be close, I' m sure you all understand!

I drove in to town today because of the Cannon Street issues! The car got drenched but 4x4d her way through amongst the Range Rovers I am so proud that I have used brand new pants to wash the dirt off and have dried them on the radiator so that they are crusty clean Gallardo pants!! I'm selling them for £20 each as she really was a dirty Lamborghini today!! nono

Not really, it's all relative, I washed by Porsche with dirty socks as it made my back ache about 20 minutes in to a race!! It never learned from its punishment!
