I don't know if it was just me but I wanted a change and had a garage selling my Gallardo for over a month (advertising across PH and the other main site) where the price is inline with the market.

Yet I had not had a single inquiry so I do not know how I can go about selling it really. Because whichever media I decide to use, if people are searching they will see it.

So my question is, are Gallardo really selling these days? Seems I have pitched the perfect time of the year for a spyder but I am surprised of the response, I do not even have tyre kickers enquires (which is good)

But as I said, it was inline with the market so its not overpriced nor underpriced too much

LP560 Spyder 2011 ,.. I know pistonhead wont allow me to ask "what is the right price" or "how much is it worth" so i will not cover this topic here....

But very strange .. Any input is appreciated as I want to sell it this year ..

Thanks

Is it one of the 2 at VVS? There's a black and a white one there with low miles.

Find out what two or three dealers will give you for it; that'll set you a real world value.

Im looking and have been for a few months. Very little is moving (I've seen a very unusual blue p. erformante and an orange LP spider sell and thats about it) and I have seen traders reduce prices. We are approaching September and prices will drop further over the winter in line with seasonal variation.

what traders offer are only what they are willing to "buy" and does not reflect on what they go for. I understand that they are in business and would like to make money on it, but i do not believe 25k less than what others are advertising do reflect the true value. If I was to sell it privately. I would be prepared to ask for less, but then how much difference are the prices between main dealer / other garages and private sale?

There have been at least 10 cars sold over the Summer and overall prices are steady to slightly up. Later, lighter models and rear-wheelers are holding strong and starting to overtake Huracan entry prices.

When there are only a few buyers around, it doesn't mean that prices are necessarily falling but it does mean you have to be patient. It can take a year to sell a high performance car, unless you want to be the cheapest (relatively) on the market by a good few ££. If dealers are offering £25k below your asking price then I would think your are 10/15k too high if you want to provoke some interest.

Buyers market to be fair, there is so much choice at that end of the market, how a prospective individual makes a decision is beyond me, plus not everyone is as clued up as (most) of us are on here. Not helped by some very tatty g's at lower end of market. One car I viewed for customer recently, wheels recon'd in the dark, milky windscreen, corrosion on door jambs, badly scored discs, misaligned badge rear, faded grills, crackle paint falling off inlet plenums, etc. And this was at a 'specialist'. Minimal prep, but top money.

TBH its the whole car market, not just Gallardo's or supercars although with some silly supercar prices being advertised on the off chance the village idiot has got loose this end of the market has suffered the most for sure, with sellers expecting the increasing prices to continue and buyers expecting the bubble to burst and not wanting to be the one with burnt fingers. A correction is required to shake things up.
Cars advertised sensibly and realistically will look like bargains and if genuine should sell

I wish that were true but prices are on the way down, especially SL and Performante. Get used to it, they will continue to fall.

Gen2 SL on way down as not limited or as rare and special as some of the other Gallardos (was basically an option tick box on the 560-4).

Some limited specials like Balboni and Gen1 SL still rising. Find a manual of either and you are in the money.

This suggests it isn't in line with the market that's selling.

To determine the value of anything, either auction it or incrementally reduce the price until it sells. The sale price is its value.

Good luck!

I've been watching pre LP Gallardos for the last 6 months and the majority of cars for sale now have been for sale for the last 6 months. I've looked at a few and there are some very tired looking cars out there for top money.

There have been a number of good cars come on the market through the same period at reasonable prices that have sold very quickly, both manual and E-Gear. I've now bought something else but I think there are people like me around who are looking to buy but in this market want a good quality car if we're paying top prices.

It also seems that a lot of G's are going to dealers that I personally wouldn't consider buying a Lamborghini from, the type of small dealers that are selling a lot of sub £30k regular cars but also have a £90k Gallardo. Maybe that's just me but I've passed on a couple like that.

The awful weather we have had in August has literally dampened sales for all performance cars.

It is true.

TheMarket is showing a +15% rise in average UK Gallardo prices during the past year.

Summer season virtually over, cars not moving and so much uncertainty with UK economy, house prices, general election, BREXIT etc etc...
Huracan prices dropping to sub £150k will exert more downward pressure on Gallardo
Good time to go in with your size 10 boots on and bag a bargain with sellers not wanting to stock cars for another 6 months over winter to find its worth less than today.
