Lambo Servicing

Hi All,

I'm new here and could do with some advice from any long term Lambo owners.

I have a special edition Gallardo (2 wheel drive, superleggera kit etc) and looking to get a major service on it shortly. Lambo Sevenoaks have quoted just under £4k but HR Owen are more like £2.3k (both include labour, parts, vat etc).

It's an investment as well as a great toy so wanted to know if you feel you have to go to a main dealer or not?

I'd be interested to know people's opinions.

Is that an 50th Anniversary LP560-2? If so good choice

I'm keeping mine with dealership servicing, the point being I believe that if/when I come to sell it a Lambo FSH looks a bit more attractive.

BOTH are main dealers! There are two UK importers: HR Owen and Sytner Group. Sevenoaks are part of Sytner. London and Pangbourne are HRO. So it sounds like a bit of a no-brainier.......

H R Owen are a Lambo main dealer as well, so seems the obvious choice out of those two

Sevenoaks are jardine group
Birmingham, Leicester and Edinborough are Sytner dealerships.
I would just ring around to check prices but ensure the services are like for life as per maintenance booklet

Lamborghini UK is HR Owen, not really a sole importer/concessionaire like the old days but they hold that title nonetheless, Sevenoaks is run by Jardine not Sytner - Sytner run Birmingham, Leicester & Edinburgh.

I stand corrected (re Sevenoaks). But the gist remains the same; take it to HRO.

Thanks for all the replies, great to know these forums are so active!

I'll be booking it in with HRO later today. If any major repairs/recommendations come up can anyone recommend a specialist of this type of work? I've heard there's a Lambo/Ferrari specialist near Heathrow that does a great job and is much better value than the main dealers.

I found Autofficina in Surrey good for sorting a few things on my Lamborghini between services (at main dealer).

I made the same decision last month to go to HR Owen for my 550-2 major service, instead of 7oaks. Next time it comes round in 2 years I will consider an Independent as there has to be a point where the money you spend on servicing you wont get back when selling.
