This was my understanding also.
But are the harder engagements tougher on the rest of the drivetrain?

My worry about Corsa mode is that I’m sure I read in the handbook that there is no over-rev protection when in Corsa mode.

Is this correct ?

On the Gallardo, sport mode will change gear for you if you push on and forget to change gear. Corsa mode you can hit the rev limiter in. Dunno if this applies to the Hurracan.

Forgot to mention, if in corsa and "thrust" mode has been activated it will change gear from 1st to 2nd for you. Corsa also changes gear down for you as well on the odd occasion.

With the older models (pre-LP, where there isn't a Corsa Mode) it won't change up if you hit the limiter in Sports mode , but will in normal mode.
