Looking for gen.1 Gallardo Superleggera for some time now. I have some specific options I need ticked, and haven't found the right one.
I am in Europe and need LHD. Saw the grey LHD SL at "Motorhub", and like the spec.
However, it took 2min with google to learn that I should just RUN away!

Now, after not finding the right spec elsewhere, I am starting to wonder, if the CAR is OK, maybe I should consider to take a look..? I am getting mad?

Anybody seen it IRL?
I actually wonder, was it Twin turboed at some time? Based on the odd hole for intercooler in the front bumper?

I don't know the dealer, but as you did, I have read multiple stories about them. Having said that, I guess if you do your DD and get it checked out by somebody who knows about these cars (incl looking for any indication of crash damage, health of the engine etc), I guess it should be fine. A car is a car and if it checks out, no reason not to buy it just because the dealer has an iffy reputation...

I am pretty sure this garage has a really bad rep and is one to avoid like the plague.

I personally wouldn't, because of their reputation. Even if all checked out, and it's a seemingly good car, how do you think after-sales service would be if you encountered a problem?

Not if they were the only garage in the world that sold cars would I buy one from them.

I'm local (ish) and the horror stories are something else.

Never you mind

They do have a bad rep but if you get it checked out at Lambo Stockport and it comes back OK then why not. You don't have to go back to them for after sales stuff. However you might want to go into it being prepared and with your eyes wide open.

They do have a poor reputation, but as OP said above, if you have the car independently inspected and it's satisfactory or needs items addressed (which could give you some room for negotiation)...then go for it.

Anyone ever seen the car in real life?
Motorhub does not answer emails...(not a good sign IMO)

Still wonder about that front air intake and lack engine pictures from their adds..

I wouldn't buy a Focus from there. The very fact you are talking about holes in the bumper tells you right away there's probably some dodgy history

It hasn't had an MOT since October 2017, which isn't a great start.

Don't even waste your time. More likely to be a cut n shut than a genuine motor

Full inspection and that will decide for you whether to proceed.

MOT expiry last October is unimportant. Its the condition that counts. MOT does not give it a clean bill of health.

Dont walk away without having done some further enquiry. The internet is very good for communicating service failures not successes. So there maybe an unfair bias when you look on the internet.

They must sell enough cars to enough people unaware of their rep or satisfied with the car/service, to remain in business...........

Some more discussion here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16... (which mentions that the boot lid, £7k IIRC, isn't carbon - it certainly doesn't look right in the rear shot - seems to have a piece running down the center which isn't stock).

Ha ha, git! Sometimes I miss it but I feel you need a stock bumper on something so special.

How's the gopping wing? hehe
