Let's say that if you're a car nut and therefore someone who would presumably have a general understanding of how to treat a car sympathetically (let the engine warm up before ragging it, no standing starts to preserve clutch/transmission etc.), you wouldn't fit such a wheel/tyre combo that might throw off the suspension geometry and general balance on the car.

The reverse might therefore also be true...

Not to mention bigger wheel and tyre combination could upset and wear the diff on the Gallardo, which is pretty sensitive to even rubber compound changes.

I wouldn't touch a car that had any aftermarket parts fitted, save for perhaps an exhaust.

hi mate,
I am looking to sell my 2011 Bicolore which is in immaculate condition. Dropped you a private mail, let me know if you are still in the market for a top quality LP560-4.

Cheers.

Nope - mine has done 25k miles - it has been used properly as opposed to just left in a garage! I have done just over 10k miles on it myself - its absolutely stunning & running to perfection! smile

The ad says he’s only done 1,000 miles in it? How does that equate to 17k in one year?

Or am I missing the bleedin’ obvious?
The previous owner seems to have done 17k miles from 2014 to 2015 which is half the car's current mileage. I know cars should be driven but not sure if the engine/transmission etc will be stressed with high mileage in short period?
What????

17,000 miles over a year is around 46 miles a day. So imagine a commute of 23 miles in the morning and 23 miles home in the evening. How on earth would that be stressing the engine and transmission??!?

I looked at the service book, 14,000 miles was done over period of around 4 months. There was a service before and after the high usage. I thought it may have been used as a track car or Gallardo experience type thing.

I went to view this car a while back. I loved the colour of the car, dark blue/black (similar to carbon black). To be fair, the seller agreed to Full Lambo service and Check but I was worried it might be difficult to sell on in the future and you have to be sure when you spend £90k!

I decided to wait a bit longer and be patient with the purchase. Unfortunately there are a lot of black and white cars which I am not a fan of. Will there be more cars and better pricing over winter?

It gets a little interesting when that kind of mileage is done over 4 months. That is on average about 115 miles per day every day. I think I would want some more detail....

Indeed. Quite a difference between 'over a year' and 'over 4 months'.

Still, that mileage in itself isn't an issue, but it does point to some interesting times.

The mileage per day is a bit too close to the 100 mile per day rental car limit too but it might be entirely coincidental. To be fair I would expect most of the ex-hire/experience day cars are generally known to people and this one is an unusual colour that would have stood out in that regard.
