Pretty much £10k lower than the others.......the rest will either hold strong and hope for this sell and disappear quickly........or the rest will drop too when people put this example under their nose........

You and me both smile . Hoping to get one next year if prices keep falling. Though there is a lovely green one at Pangbourne. Hmmmm green.

I’ve been browsing the classifieds and there seems to be circa 50 performante spyder/coupes currently for sale, is it me or is that not a huge amount of this model of car? Have to say I’m surprised the black top 555 car hasn’t been snapped up, it looks lovely.

it's an absurd number of low mileage cars, just like the number of aventador svs

lots of people buying with high hopes of some easy profit or a year's free motoring, and no intention of using and keeping rolleyes

I think there’s a lot of people wanting out of all supercars at the moment because like me they’re nervous of what next year will be like. Not just Lambo tho. 720,s 50plus cars and that’s just a coupe not convertible. 25 plus Speciale Ferrari’s, 15 Scuds, I remember struggling to find one a few years ago. Truth is the market is flooded with all marques and they keep churning them out.

I'm tracking Performante,720S and 488 prices ATM and notice a distinct and sharp downturn in prices in the last few weeks..This is even more so for Performantes and 488s..The 488s have dropped by about £5K in the last week or so especially at the cheaper end where i'm looking at.
Performantes are down to £205k and 488s have no crept just under £180k..As i don't want to catch a falling knife any ideas on how much further these will drop in the near term.?

I think the key really is what you intend to do with the car.........if it's to get in and out of it by next summer then now is probably not a good time to buy any car...........if it's a car that you would keep for 3 or 4 years then the sliding prices are less relevant.....assume it will lose money and enjoy it!

people simply don't think that way anymore buying these sorts of cars, most are expecting to either make money or run without depreciation at minimum, especially wrt to the new 'rare' models....

Keep it more than 6 years and you’ll probably not lose any money on it...

Really these are fantastic cars to drive and own, each day prevaricating is a days driving lost, imo....

I couldn’t disagree more.
These things are being churned out at such a rate and 90% are financed.
They then all need to find a home.
Over 6 years, might retain 45-50%?
(It really doesn’t matter to me personally, as I’ve never sold a car. I’ve still got 5he first one I bought in 1987.)

I do! I expect to lose 50k in the first year probably half that in the second. That’s because I drive my cars they’re not ornaments. If you don’t want to lose money buy supercars, the economy at present is what’s causing the issue.

^^^^ This was the guy on page 2 of this thread that ridiculed the suggestion HPs would drop by 50k in 6 months time. We are almost there a month on from that comment!
