offered 94k, but got declined.

will request lamborghini report and see the clutch wear rate, thinking of offering 96k, if the clutch has at least 75% life left

Intrigued by this. Not jumping in on the potential purchase of your Spyder. But often people use finance/balloons for these motors. If I did a deal privately with someone how do you get the finance in place etc? Do JBR/Aldermore etc touch private purchases?

Thanks

its the same process, you apply for the loan meeting your needs with the lender and they carry out the usual credit/affordability checks. typically you pay a deposit and then pay the monthly payments. I personally wouldnt' finance these cars on pcp/hp etc as the interest rates tend to be high.

But some lenders will only let you purchase from a dealership to finance for you?

When my car was advertised for sale i've had a call from a finance company(i won't disclose the name on here but can do it over pm) and they can offer finance for private individuals
This is what the email says!

We are a specialist finance broker and arrange finance for individuals and businesses on almost any vehicle or asset.

If you get an enquiry on your Lamborghini Gallardo and the buyer would like to explore financing please feel free to pass on my details...

Products we could offer on your specific car:
Up to 5 years finance with or without a residual balloon payment
Zero deposit
Regulated agreement
Competitive rates
Choice of lenders
This is quite unique as most buyers would not have these facilities purchasing from a private individual over a dealer. Please feel free to advertise 'FINANCE AVAILABLE' on your advert, as our clients have found this increases enquiries.

Please feel free to visit our website and social media channels on the links below. If you yourself require any finance on future purchases then I'll be happy to assist with this too. We can arrange finance on anything from new & used cars, classic cars and general assets.

Best wishes

A lot of companies have financed cars purchased from private sellers for some time. Quite a safe way to buy one actually

hi guys, updated

im trying to find out the last reading of the clutch as the dealer is adamanet it will have more than 75% life left as its covered 11k.

I called Lamborghini Edinburgh but they wont talk to me

the only way to get the clutch reading is to agree a deal and pay the deposit and the lambo will get sent of to the lambo dealer for the inspection.

other dealers have just plugged in the diagnostic and send me the info.

in order raise the offer I need to know the life of the clutch left even though its low mileage.it could have been driven on auto all its life.

dealer will only replace clutch if its 30% left

any one have any contacts in lambo who can check this for me?

Just agree terms in the deal that your deposit is refundable if the clutch is less than 75% good. Then pay the deposit and the car gets inspected.

If you still get knocked back, then thank them for their time and move on to another one.

clutch is worn 16%,

price now reduced by £2k

only other niggle is the wing mirror is loose.

VVS have also reduced the price on their gallardos,

looks like they are not selling at the asking price.

as the car will be another year older after December, should the price fall further?

Definitely a buyers market and likely prices will continue to fall but when and buy how much, who knows. Winter is definitely a better time to buy a spyder than the Spring/Summer.

And whilst you continue your game of poker with the dealer, remember if this car is appealing to you there is a good chance it is appealing to someone else. As such you might want to consider how annoyed you'd be if it sold now? If you'd be really annoyed I'd go and buy the damn thing, if you're not that bothered, you can sit it out.

Good point! I've been done on 3 white bicolare gallardo's this past 6 weeks that were between 95 and 100k respectively. All 3 are sold. Cars are still moving if priced well so don't wait too long. My extension to the house is almost built so I'm hoping to be in a position to move in 3 weeks and they've all been snapped up.

Hi all, first time post as I am looking to finally get a Gallardo. I am considering going down to VVS as they have two possibles for me (both 2012). I have already viewed one, the drive was great, fully inspected by RAC and felt good, but was put off by the lack of history with the car. It was a 2008 but only seemed to have receipts for the last two years or so. Question is, with cars like this, is the history an important factor for me to consider for my own piece of mind, and when I come to eventually move it on? (I know that’s a loaded question somewhat, I guess I’m asking, is a lack of history a worry, and I should go with my gut feeling about the condition it is currently in, or will that have a detrimental effect when I come to sell it?)

having a car with limited history halves the already small resale market
if you're buying a far east import, then it halves again

Does it have any other service history (service book etc) or just the receipts for the last 2 years?

As long as you have the service book fully stamped then i would say no need for invoices. You can check with the dealer for piece of mind.BUT if no service book or just for the last 2 years then i would walk away..unless the price if very very good!
