Didn't sell in a previous auction. Guess if the wrap was removed it might help. Who knows.

Any idea what bidding reached previously?

That car is in bad condition. Bits stuck on, battery cut off switch on the scuttle panel. Awful wrap.

Run away.

Looks like the prices on the up again!
For anyone who doesn't want a black, grey or even a white SL1, here's an orange RHD for your consideration:
2008, 13,351 miles, FSH, 2 owners, ceramic brakes, front lift, private plate L666 ERA and private sale:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010195...

No mention of the uprated door speakers, the non-standard exhaust pipe surrounds or whether the original front bumper is still available.

All for £119,500. I wonder how much without the private plate.

The prices aren't on the up, they aren't selling at all.

Dion outpriced himself by raising the price of his car in the summer and is now stuck with it.

The ex Eric Clapton car I've been to see, reduced by £5k and still not sold.

The two grey cars at VVS have had £5k taken off them down to £94k car.

Carlo's black car looks nice but been for sale for a year......

This guy is dreaming at that price and with those modifications.........

Ah, the Knockhill SL.

Looks better in that photo than with that front end in the advert to be fair.

What are everyone's thought on the relative merits of the 4 Mk1 SLs currently for sale?

Assuming that are all in good/similar condition the black car looks to be the best value. But is the unpopular colour the reason for this cars cheaper price even given the lower mileage of the 4 cars currently for sale?

I went to see the grey car at £115k, owner didn't want to budge on the price.

White car is nice but too rich in my opinion for what will be 30k soon, it's a sub £100k car when compared to others available.

I enquired about the VVS car, I have walk around video they sent me if you want to mail me and I'll send it you. It was the one I was closest to buying but in the end I just couldn't talk myself into buying a grey car.

On paper, the black car is the one to go for but black was even less inspiring for me than grey.......

The white car was the one I really wanted but the price/mileage combo just wasn't right for me.........

Bought a 600LT Spider instead laugh

black is probably the most understated colour
make sure you see grigio telesto in something approximating to sunshine : it's stunning
the first three dealers have excellent reputations : the fourth car is likely to be a far-eastern import
i would buy again in a heartbeat

ps : ignore sarnie's spiel as he's wasted nearly a decade on here tyre kicking and talking down prices wavey

I emailed that dealer and we started a dialogue, I live locally and had cash. Would be my second one.

I asked about clutch wear and that was it, no more emails, not even a reply.

Very strange......

Car dealers are so odd sometimes.

Witnessing my sons search for a car, it does seem that dealers are not that desperate to sell stock as it’s impossible to replace. Plus most of them are wealthy enough to keep the cars and not need to sell them.

As for andrew comment, yes that Sarniy fellow does come across as quite strange!

Strange? Just helping out the poster who asked about the cars that I had also considered over recent months......nothing strange about that.

I've not talked down prices. The asking prices are not realistic.......the black car whilst looking the best value has been for sale well over a year. The market must also agree given that none of the others have sold either......
