Did you dealer tell you how many STO's they've been allocated?
Not been told that, only that if want the chance of an allocation I need to purchase an EVO variant first... seems very unfair!

Very bizarre but it seems like there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding production numbers.

I read it's 2 year production but the 1st year of production has been cut short due to COVID so most of the MY21 STOs will be dealer cars, MY22 customer cars.

I've also read some people claiming production numbers will be close to Perf numbers which would mean allocation should be wide open but it doesn't seem like it. I spoke with a few of my dealer contacts and they haven't been very forthcoming about allocations so I have no idea what to make of it.

We'll probably have to wait for other potential buyers to chime in to get a better idea on allocation.

I was told limited numbers and they couldn’t give me much more information than that. When pressed they came out with a number of 1200 but it was not convincing enough for me. I was surprised, given I only have a history of 3 cars with them, to be offered a slot which in some ways put me off the idea even more. If I am being offered a slot then either the big fish above me have rejected it or there are a lot of cars being produced and we have an SVJ situation.

Actually 3 cars would put you high on the list at most Lambo dealers. Remember there's no Lamborghini that is super limited that requires customers to buy a ton of cars. Hell Lamborghini would sell a Sian to a person with no history and same with the paint special limited editions like the SVJ63 lol.

My guess has been 1200 but considering they produced 5000+ Pista's and the AMG GT BS could be in the high 2's the STO will be rare. My recommendation is get an early car, drive it for a couple months and flip it. Production will be tight for MY21, MY22 is when majority of customer cars come in.

Edit:
I just listened to TGE's podcast, he said dealers are asking 5k to get on the list and 50k to lock in the spec. According to Tom each dealer is getting around 10-15 cars. This would inline with what I heard. My friend who's a GM at a Japanese Lambo dealer said Japan is getting 120 cars. Japan sold almost the same amount of Lambos as the UK in 2019.

I guess the numbers depends a lot on if the production line will be producing any Evos at the same time?

Whereas with the Perf the production line was just making Perfs for the whole period/production run, as I understand?

Thanks very much for your reply, it does seem to be in a bit of a limbo. My dealer has gone radio silent, so no idea what is going on.

I’m a bit annoyed though if all these YouTube/influencer types without buying experience actually get allocations as they claim to have done....

I wouldn't stress. I predict Lamborghini will ramp up production for MY22 and dealers will have plenty of allocation they need to dump. Give it a month or two and I predict you'll be receiving a call from a dealer.

The news every customer wants to here about their “limited car”. I’ve decided it’s a no for me, as gorgeous as the car does look in Shmee’s latest video.

So the Japanese launch event happen and it was confirmed that Japan will be receiving 150 STOs and only 700 worldwide. The information was provided by the head of Lamborghini Asia and confirmed by multiple sources. This means the UK will get around the same amount of cars give or take because most markets sell equal amount of cars.

At this point if you're getting an allocation, jump on it. It's starting to sound like this car will be very limited and it makes sense why so many dealers have gone MIA. I'll see if I get more information from a fellow Japanese Lambo owner I know.

It's a factory car. Terrible spec which doesn't do the STO justice.

Here's more pics including a sneaky Sian easter egg...

I might be in the minority here but so far I actually don’t like the looks, when the shots aren’t professional or cleverly taken photos. They haven’t done enough with the door panel to fit in with the rest of the car and it looks oddly proportioned. That said, this car is probably a bit like a Senna and it’s all to make the car quicker rather than prettier.

Mitja Borkert is the problem. The guy has no clue what design language Lamborghini should head in. Lambo's use to have a very aggressive and sharp design e.g the SV which imo was the pinnacle of design for modern Lambos but since the SV it's gone downhill and Lambo design has gone soft. I really hope this guy doesn't screw up the Lamborghini replacement.

Is it the design language or is it partly what most customers want and euro safety crap?

Murci is the sweet spot in modern lambos I think.
