I will never be able to own a Performance , as 6 ft .4 ins tall , but nice sound bit showy and my wife would not get in it ....but nor does she ever get in the GT3.2 RS ( the WING ) .... so no issues
The ALA system must need commitment as never seen one going particularly fast on track ....but they do sound great
I'm 6'5. They are fine with buckets, comfort seats are awkward as they are placed much higher limiting headroom. There is also much more room in a coupe than Spyder which is very tight with the roof up.

Test drove one at the weekend. What a car!

In sport mode it felt very easy to drive, just like any other car really and the dampening on it meant it could soak up all the bumps in the road without jarring your back, even with the buckets which I love. Stick it in strada and it sounded awesome with the pops and crackles coming from the exhaust, was very loud though but as the car stands out like a sore thumb I loved that about it. Corsa mode turned the car into a different animal all together. You could feel it moving around and it felt pretty good in this mode. Compared to my car the gearbox is a certainly an improvement, shifts where faster and a lot smoother even in corsa mode.

Sticks to the road like glue as well and through a set of flowing corners it gave you a lot of confidence to keep your foot in. In short you'd have to be driving like a complete dick to stack it.
I would say that sums it up perfectly! The suspension is sublime on the road in Sport, and has a way of dealing with the undulations and imperfections in the road, yet remaining superbly communicative, in a way no other car I've experienced manages. The level of confidence, and the ability to extract everything on offer from these cars, is what makes them so impressive IMO. It's all very well laying claim to record lap-times, but useless if it takes someone with absolute heroic ability to access those upper limits of performance (a la GT2 RS). That's not to be confused with the car being un-engaging, or "easy to drive" though. The Performante will still bite you if you're hamfisted and don't possess some basics in car control (as several Youtube videos will demonstrate).

Car I drove didn't have LDS where as the car I am looking at does. How much of difference does this make?
Personally i'd avoid. It gives an unnatural feel to the steering, varying input to output at differing speeds. Despite what some dealers will tell you about it being a "must-have", all the cars that Sant'Agata supplied to the UK press had passive (non-LDS) steering, and LDS-equipped cars effectively disable the function (well, dial it right back anyway) when in "Corsa", which tells you all you need to know. I've let a few people drive my car and all have praised how communicative and sharp the steering feels. 4WS (in the EVO) achieves what LDS set out to do, but with far more effectiveness.

Feel free to drop him a line through the channel. He's very happy to chat about the cars, and owns a GT3 RS also. He'll happily tell you which one he prefers and the pros/cons of each.

laugh it's funny how anyone really actually believes the ALA stuff makes a big difference nevermind 'having to be at 10/10ths to take advantage'. The performante is a quick car though especially on trofeos, as one would expect a modern 600+hp sports car to be and sounds lightyears hetter than anything else today.

P.S seating position on the lambo is quite individual unfortunately and you are a bit tall to easily fit I think!

I have a standard Huracan and am 6 foot 6 so there is plenty of possibility for taller drivers to get in. The bucket seats I tried recently in a perf , although lower, are completely unadjustable and too upright for a taller driver. I recline me seat a lot to make myself fit so the comfort seat is the way to go. I still don’t fit in an Aventador though.

Aerodynamics does seem to have some effect though, eg a 108,000kg Boeing 757 actually seems to take off at 160mph.......

Sure it does.

You want to calculate the amount of downforce the performante produces at 120mph though nevermind how much some of that aero vectoring then further has an effect by reducing downforce on one side of the car? in context of a 1500kg car, those amounts will be pretty irrelevant....

what's so funny about it? the perf knocked 36 seconds off the ring time vs a normal car with just 30hp extra, I was under the impression that the ala got a lot of credit for this insane difference?

Shows lambo marketing worked rather well if you had that impression then hehe

I don't believe it personally but something has obviously knocked a gigantic amount of time off the lap, and if it's not the 30hp or the aero then what exactly has shaved 36 seconds off? they were both on Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires

Sorry but where do you get 36 seconds? SportAuto got 7:28 iirc with the standard huracan and 7:08 with the performante. Big difference of course at 20s (better damping, more overall df, faster track) but not 36. There never was a factory lap on the standard car.

Just starting to look myself. Seen what looks a well priced Performante at JCT Leeds.

Advert says seats are Sports Buckets, but much of description seems wrong. What are the seats on this lovely white car, are they adjustable?
Thank you

Thank you.
Anyone know this car, I am looking at this and black car at Redline, JCT car looks more appealing both in colour and price. Just getting myself up to speed on spec differences.

This car was for sale about a year ago via TH Boler I think it was, circa £220k.............disappeared in the spring, reappeared late summer at JCT...........looks like someone got in and out for six months perhaps......or the owner withdrew it for sale over summer.......since being at JCT they have reduced it by about £5k a fortnight from just under £200k..........

165k will now buy that white one at leeds, hard to believe 4-5 months ago that would of been 200k. I was looking then, and the cheapest I could get one was at 200k and 225k for a red spyder. And both had the more undesirable bucket torture seats. I am also interested in that white one at leeds but I am 95% sorted with a deal on an Aventador S. The one I am looking at is 40k less than it was 4-5 months ago.
If you test drive a huracan performante I will be surprised if you dont want one instantly!

This one has 3 previous owners and you will be the 4th one. See this, https://www.jct600.co.uk/used-cars/lamborghini-hur...

That’s the reason why it is very cheap. I would not buy a super car with more than 3 owners - it is just me. So you should think about the residual value when you decide to sell later on. I would rather buy a proper low mile one (1 or 2 max previous owners) at 180K. Btw, comfort seat is a BONUS for Performante due to the design/shape of the carbon seat (which is very different from 580 or 610). Like it or not, Lambo dealers bid £8000 more for the one with comfort seat vs the one with carbon seat assuming same specs. Cars with comfort seat tend to sell quicker thus the bid price difference.

Thank you for all the feedback, it had been very useful.

If u was to extend warranty (current manufactures ends Jan 2021), what type of cost would you expect. I plan to keep car for 2 years and want peace of mind.

Thank you

I was at JCT last weekend looking at the 488 Spiders they have, spoke to the salesman there about this car as over the last couple of months Me and my mate have been betting how low it would go... He said they had actually sold it twice but failed finance both times..? Said the car owes them £170K, an earlier post said it would sell at £165K. The feeling I got was they want it gone, my guess if you were a cash buyer at £160K they would not let you walk... Car looked fine by the way.
