I pick this up tomorrow ...

My first Ferrari after many years of Porsche ownership.

After thinking about going V12 with either an FF or 599 HGTE, test drove a 458 and never looked back. Can't wait bounce today is going to be a loooong day !

Congratulations.

There's something about viewing an powerful engine through glass. Do Ferrari's have engine bay lights a la R8's which illuminate the engine bay when dark?

What a coincidence as i bought my first Ferrari 14 months ago..I'm a Porsche guy at heart and still own three including a .2GT3 RS WP but Ferraris have a mystique about then no other car maker can hope to match.
I was also initially on the lockout for an FF or 599 but finally settled on a GS 458..What an amazing car and like you no regrets on my decision.

Don't think so - believe that's the domain of a McLaren 720S !

If the test drives were anything to go by, I'm sure I will.

I've still keeping the faith with Porsche and have got 2 911's (although nothing as glamorous as a 991.2 GT3 RS WP - just a cooking 991.1 GTS and a 1990 C4 Cab).

Thanks Mike. One of my favourite views (that has kept me occupied whilst I wait to pick it up) is this one ...

Looks like a lovely car, you best post up more pictures! smile

It was 430's that interested me in Ferrari's and after test driving a lot of machinery the 458 also won it for me too. smile

I’ll probably do a day at Bedford in the summer - took the 991 there last year and had a great time (and went through 2 tanks of fuel !).
