I am finding myself getting attracted to the Performante however I have no idea of any must have/nice to have spec ... whilst I am doing a lot of reading I thought worth asking on here !

Thoughts appreciated ... coming from a history of 911’s and most recently a DBS Superleggera and now want to get back into a more agile car (not restricted by 4 seats) for weekend drives and the odd track day ...

Thanks in advance

Lift i'd say is the only *absolute* must have.

Seats are a matter of personal preference. Some hate the buckets, others can't fit in the car with the comfort seats. Worth trying both if you can before you buy. With the spyder, I like my comforts simply because I'll have the roof down on a cold winter's day but have the heated seats on.
Car play is worthwhile in my opinion, if only for better sat nav

Yes, I’d totally agree with the above, the rest is just purely cosmetic imo...

Regarding the seats, I first sat in one with the buckets, and immediately said that there’s no way I could live with those, after trying the comfort seats, I was sold!

If you need satnav and modern functionality then Apple CarPlay is a must, the fitted satnav is almost useless imo.

Front lift is essential!

For me the must haves in order:
- Lift.
- Buckets - divided opinions on these but I’m a slim build and find them great and part of the experience. Not a lot of padding but fit me well. Had comforts on my previous 610 which are amazing seats too.
- apple play
- laser etching. Really makes the interior
- rear view camera
- branding package - the gloss finish works well
- travel package - cargo nets inside. There’s not a lot of storage!

A proper roof and proper bucket seats! Other options compromise what the Perf is about but some can't live them and tone it down a bit. Try the hairdresser version but you will feel disconnected from the car if you drive in anger/track. Get a cushion for the buckets if you are on the fence.

It was covered here a few weeks ago somewhere but the main ones are

Front lift
Rear view camera
Parking sensors (was optional)
"Bluetooth preparation"
PPF (usually non lambo)
Alcantara (was an option although sure all UK flavors have it: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/features/sussex...
Glove box (same as above)

Nice bits would be
Style pack (which is the gloss black skirts, splitter, mirrors, tail pipe etc)
The branding package which is the lambo logo in the seats and perf on the bolster - fairly sure nearly all of them have this
Storage nets (travel pack) but its fairly rare
Phone/carplay/Android auto (Very common)
Matching stitching of some sort - (Hi do you like my blue car with red stitching laugh)
Magneto-rheologic suspension (relatively common and arguably a must have for UK roads)
Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (if tracking - relatively common)
CCB (was an option to remove, so check)
Garage door opener (if you need)
Anti theft system (expensive to retrofit)
Cruise control (you wont use it but without it leaves blanks on the wheel)

Arguably not worth having
Sensonum - It wont be often you say "im tired of listening to that V10, time for some Rihanna"
DAB (See above)
Sat nav - your phone does that (not sure if carplay/Android Auto is part of that though but is fairly common)
Cup holder (part of the travel pack - its terrible and barely holds an espresso)

Finally......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZVo_HMA02E&t=211s & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYbWaf2vQ6M

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t comfort seats more popular than the buckets, so much so cars with buckets are much harder to move? As I say I maybe wrong but I’m sure there is another thread on PH discussing it.

My dealer won't stock Performante's with buckets.

Comfort seats are really good IMO.

Generally speaking, there is a split of around 60/40 in the comfort favor on the simple reason the buckets are simply not for everyone. There is no doubt the buckets are more suited and superior for a track based car but if you are not fit, healthy, right size, right shape, looking for more of a GT/long journey then the buckets will cause more offense than the comforts and 1st spec owners made that sacrifice resulting in more comforts out there. Both options are very oposite and Lambo have addressed this in the Evo revision with the middle of the line "Sport" seats which is a hybrid of the two.

It's a topic well covered on forums and BB around the world time and time again and the general advise is to aim for the buckets and try them but if you can't live with them the only option is to then opt for the comforts or grab a cushion (tailor made is CIRCA £300, off the shelf is like £50 for the pair).

This,

I'm only a powerfully built 5ft9 hehe however, I had comforts in one of my Spyders and due to the rear bulkhead you don't get the range of travel as you do on the coupe and I personally couldn't get the correct seating position, I ended up chopping it in for one with buckets and used the cushion fix above.

I’m about 6’1 and have had a Spyder since 2018 with comforts fitted. The dealer can remove the restrictions on the electrics so you can push the seat all the way back against the bulkhead, it makes a massive difference to the seating position and without it I wouldn’t have been able to make it work for me.

You obviously need to be careful not to damage the seats or bulkhead with the restrictions off.

To me, I didn’t buy the Perf as a track car, they are way too loud for any UK circuits (apart from maybe donnington or Anglesey etc on derestricted days). The car also doesn’t have sufficient brake cooling and at a minimum needs new pads and brake fluid to work on track for more than a couple of laps.

As a NA spyder though, I don’t think it can be beaten this side of £500k. The driving dynamics are hugely improved over the LP610/580 and I think the wing looks great.

Mine is potentially going to stay as a forever car with my Porsche GT3/4 for track days.

Thanks for the input on the seats ... I am 6ft and just under 80kg ... the answer sounds like a try them out once I can get into a few cars.

I had not realised the std exhaust would be an issue with noise restrictions ... I had planned to do maybe 3 or 4 track days a year ... not loads but enough that it would be annoying to fail noise tests !

I started this search looking at GT3 RS’s maybe I need to reconsider ... I haven’t the space for a track car and a weekend car !!

They are pretty much the loudest standard/unmodified cars on the road.

When I was looking at my Perf purchase I spoke to quite a number of dealers (main and independent) about the right spec etc. We touched on seats too. All except one said they do not price them differently and have no stocking preference. They generally said it is a more authentic experience with buckets but that their window of suitability is narrower than most cars - they tend to favour slim builds up to average height. I've always gone for bucket options on cars - Porsche GT cars (including the 997.1 single piece carbon ones from the CGT and the 458). The Lambo ones are most similar to the 997.1 CGT buckets but have less padding for sure. The only dealer who said they won't touch buckets had a comfort car in stock but ended up stocking one with buckets a couple of weeks after! Having now got a car with buckets - they work for me as I meet the criteria but I can see if you are over 6ft or wide/well built they aren't going to be your bag. You sit a fair bit lower with the buckets. I had comforts in my 610-4 and they are really great seats so you can't go wrong.

DanamC. Do you have any links for cushions? Interested so see what these are like in case my butt ends getting numb

£420 when I asked a little while ago iirc which is a little steep.

IIRC there have been some specific off the shelf ones mentioned recently on here......somewhere which I cant find. A quick G shows there are loads of options.

https://racetecheurope.co.uk/shop/cushions

https://www.corbeau-seats.com/product/bucket-seat-...

Let us know if you find the thread on here, it was a well known brand, cost was like £50 and came very recomended. Failing that, we should clump together for a group buy (is that still a thing on forums?) for a run from Hubbard if the price can be negotiated.

The bucket seats are surprisingly good, I have the cushions (bought off a chap on here that sold his Perf and had not taken delivery of them yet) transforms the seat, they fo make you sit higher though

Found!

For PH reference as this will get asked again, you can also tilt them here: https://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?/topic/... and belive you can also tilt them by moving the bolt that fixes the rail to the front of the seat.

Don't disagree with any of that.

Wish I had of known about the seat mod, Could have saved myself some pennies on the chop as I really couldn't get to grips with the comfort seats position.

How do you turn the ALA active display on? I have forgotten how to do it.

I know you press and hold a button for about 10 seconds to do it but I can't remember for the life of me.

It’s the middle display button on the steering wheel iirc..

That’s the one. You either:
1. Get the display with the small car icon on the dashboard pressing the steering butting (cycles through tyre pressure then ALA) and/or
2. Press middle button for c 5sec and it puts the display into small centre display on the console
