I’ve bought my Performante new in March last year but unfortunately didn’t come with Cruise Control and is something I’d like to get fitted....I believe it’s just a matter of changing the steering wheel and some computer magic and job done, as any on here had this done to give me some idea of cost please ?

I wanted to do the same with mine but the dealer quoted me over £2k.
I find cruise essential for all those stretches of road where it's suddenly 50 limit for mile after mile.

That’s exactly what I need it for and also motorway cruising, I’ve also had a quote at over £2k but, I think I’m just gonna bite the bullet and do it !!

Let us know how it goes.

I had CC retrofitted to my R8 V8 and it costs a few hundred pounds.

I will keep you posted Fast Eddie, I did think about a retrofit but because the car in relatively new I thought it would be a bad move, I will however be able to keep my old steering wheel as decoration for the garage !!

My 2020 Evo has the steering wheel buttons but I haven't managed to get it to work yet. Hopefully its just a software job or I'm a halfwit smile

I ordered mine with the cruise control, not that I wanted it but because I couldn’t face having the blank button on the steering wheel! I thought it was just me but I few on here have confessed the same.

Good luck with the retrofit, and not having to stare at the black plastic where the buttons should be while doing 50mph on the M1...

Do these upgrades give you adaptive cruise control or the basic electronic cruise control? If the latter isn’t that even more annoying - don’t you have to constantly reset it every time someone slows down in front of you?

It's not adaptive, you would have to turn it on and off each time but it remembers the last setting.

Thanks. So just to clarify - with this upgrade if the car in front brakes to a lower speed than your setting, or someone pulls abruptly into your lane then the system deactivates?

No it's not adaptive so has no radar. You need to break manually.

That being said, there are no limits to my skills: -
