Hi guys,

I’m looking at getting a Gallardo to replace my 997 Turbo, I’m new to the brand and would like some pointers on what to look out for so for I’ve been advised of;-

E-clutch wear what % remaining is acceptable
Electrical items
Cats disintegrating, is this very common? How can this be fixed and be MOT friendly?
Usual interior wear and tear

Is there anything else I’ve missed out?

I’ve got a budget of around £75K ish so ideally be looking for a 2008ish onwards car IF I can get an LP550 or 560 that would be awesome. Also can someone recommend decent independent dealers for purchase, services and inspection.

Anyone know these cars or dealers?

early cars gets saggy interior, not sure f theres a point at which you can say it doesn;t or just happens as each car hits a certain age. Style wise imho trim options got better year on year.

cats, do indeed breakdown on teh pre lps, seeing as how new blocks are now NLA that becomes an even bigger issue. Fix with sports cats though even my 200 cel cats are borderline MOT so if thats an issue get replacement oem spec but not oem
