It's funny isn't it - how these cars look so much better dirty ?

Just got mine back from PPF treatment - I can't see myself ever washing it again ??
The dirt is my PPF!

Just got back from an epic 2000 mile road trip to the Scottish Highlands in the Sterrato.

Nothing like that sort of drive to bond you with a car - especially one as good as this.

To finally get to use it properly - this car is so, so good - all been said before of course so no point rehashing it again but suffice to say this is by far the best car I've ever owned.

I would also say this get's way more attention than any of my previous Lambo's ( including Diablo SV !) - & nearly all off it positive.

Park it up anywhere and within minutes people are all over it taking photos, thumbs up all the time when driving.

I think the roof box has something to do with that - it just blows peoples minds to see a Lambo with a roof rack let alone a roof box 😆

I was really surprised at how that Thule box really works well at speed with the Sterrato, if anything it's a bit quieter as it stops the roof bars from whistling. Sure you can tell the centre of gravity has raised and it rolls about a bit more when loaded but otherwise it's completely fine.

That said, I did take the roof box off for the Old Military Road A93 / A939 drive - the highlight of the trip .... if you know you know.... and if you don't know you need to make that a bucket list drive. Driving it in glorious spring sunshine, barely any other cars on the road .... In a Sterrato .... just doesn't get any better!

One thing I found: I have an exhaust valve controller on it ; and for motorway cruising have it with valves closed as the drone can get a bit much after a while.... but what I found that of you floor it in a high gear with the valves closed ..... the induction noise !! ... holy **** ! .. amazing & properly addictive ! ( pretty sure my EVO didn't sound like that ... maybe the roof scoop contributing. )

So yeah, just the perfect car for me ... it's a keeper for sure.

The only fly in the ointment ( because there has to be one right ?) is the touchscreen failed on the way back home - just totally black . Bit of a ball ache as the satnav lady was trying to get us back to our previous destination the whole time.. It fired up OK the next day but sounds like it's a total replacement under warranty job..

Anyway, here are some gratuitous pics of said trip ( of course it also helped that an actual bona fide miracle occurred and we had 7 days in Scotland where it didn't rain once .... in fact all bar 1 day it was warm and cloudless skies .... in early April ...? totally unheard of ! 😆)
