Hi all

Just took the plunge - went to the dealer and fell in love with the Tecnica - 2024 with delivery mileage.

Collecting it in a week or so... just wondering what is the easiest way to keep the exhaust valves open all the time?

Many thanks

Unhelpfully, I'm going to say I don't know (I recently bought a Tecnica), but equally I do quite like that you can be more stealthy vs always shouty. That aside, I am aware that the dealership can do it. Have you asked them? There is a way, but I believe it is a 'permanent' thing rather than optional on your whim. There may be some aftermarket options, but I've not seen any.

So yes, this is quite an unhelpful post - but congrats regardless! I had a Spyder 610-4 before, which I thought long and hard about swapping out. My regret was that I didn't do it a bit earlier, as I'm really liking the Tecnica!

You can buy control units that have to be wired in
My main dealer just disconnected the vacuum hoses

Simply have a valve controller with remote control installed. It allows you to have the valves either always open, always shut, or as per factory settings, at the touch of a button. Best £200 mod I've ever done. The one from SST Spezialgeräte works a treat.

How was the installation on it? That is, how amateur can you be and get away with doing it relatively painlessly...

Have one of these on my 458 - transformed the car, best thing I ever bought for it and DIY install in about an hour:

I paid a independent £200 to do the install. It was more than I would have been comfortable doing myself, but then again I have zero experience working on cars

Many thanks for that link - just ordered.

I have just taken delivery of a Sterrato with the stock exhaust valves, the sound is absolutely parhetic compared to my '21 'EVO ... if this device does what it says it will do then will be perfect.

Just installed this on my Sterrato & can confirm it does indeed work a treat.

Very simple install - hardest thing was getting access to the solenoid / removing and re-installing the decorative panels in the engine.
