I'm still really keen on one, I bought a Porsche 997RS instead though and although I love it I wonder if I made the right decision, but I'd be saying the same thing about the Porsche if I'd bought the Sterrato.

As you say, Porsche have great PR and they have a huge following, lots of clubs, etc, and more importantly people believe that 911s are a good investment, so the more interesting ones tend to drift up in price. I'm reasonably sure that in ten years time my 997RS will be worth more than a Sterrato, which was what finally made the decision for me, it's not likely to be kept forever, so once the price is attractive enough I'll sell it and drop that money into the pension pot, in the meantime I can put a couple of thousand miles a year on it and it shouldn't affect the price.

Plus I've got three other 911s and it's handy having one make and needing only one specialist, if I'd bought the Lamborghini I'd have had to find another specialist and they're out there, but for example RE Performance is miles away from me. Whereas my Porsche specialist is a bloke I grew up with and been mates with for decades.

All fair points Harry. Another point from my side is usability. As the owner of a Steratto I find the Dakar more usable . Nipping into a supermarket car park is something I'd prefer in the 911 than the Ster.

Currently no Sterratos forsale on Autotrader.

When I first stated looking for one in April/may. There were generally 10 or more.

Almost seems like a website glitch as I'm sure there were half a dozen their earlier this month ....

That said: there don't appear to be any at HR Owen used or Amari ..... but I did see a Gallardo SL for £350K so maybe the world has gone mad !

Not a glitch. Supply has dried up.

Most usable huracan made, last of V10, numbered, very rare in the UK circa 75 ish. They were always going to do well once prices settled after the initial hype.

Loving mine, after owning very low supercars with 30k carbon splitters that you wince at down every B road it’s refreshing not having to worry. Most fun supercar at road speeds I’ve owned.

Even the white one with 63 and stripes that HR Owen had has sold. That one was an ex Auto Vivendi rental club car.

I'm not selling mine either. I think that's the point. There weren't many. They have now all been bought by people who want to keep them, not flippers.
