I think we can safely assume 8-bit graphics will be the norm well into 2016.

Seriously, it's not difficult!

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been a bit run of my feet. It appears that the images selected by the Ipad are the thumbnail version used for mobile rather than the higher res ones used by the desktop application.

It's with the developers now to resolve.

Right next patient please. smile

It gets a bit blurry on an iPad too.....

Ollie, I take it the developers are still thinking about how not to use thumbnails in articles when screen resolution is greater than a Hobnob?

Any chance of another nudge (although, given this was raised in March, a rocket may be more appropriate in my opinion) please, the patient's getting a bit tired of waiting in the corridors before going in for surgery....

The issue is as bad on the iPhone. Considering the resolution of Apple devices is probably higher than the average desktop, they shouldn't be using thumbnail versions for mobile full stop.

Ollie, any chance of this being fixed the same year in which it was raised? The latest Porsche 911GTS article is really let down by the low-res pictures.

It's getting a bit beyond a joke now.

Hi all

The dev team were working try and get this resolved before the NY however time wasn't on their side. It should be resolved in the next release which will be in the next week or so.. Thanks for your patience.

Not sure if this is supposedly fixed yet but the Focus RS article is another obvious example of it being very much broken, still.

I hope it's not a sign of things to come, but on iOS devices at least things get awfully pixelated in the Subaru TT article as you get towards the latter photographs in the article.

Images on news articles on tablet devices are displaying with the appropriate resolution to me now (excluding the grid photos at the bottom of the article). Are you looking at a news article on a tablet device where this is not the case? If so, please let us know so we can investigate.

Yep same for me, everything is ok apart from the grid of images at the bottom of an article (i.e. the recent Subaru one).

Er, it's not looking good folks. Article images are very pixelated (Porsche Audification is a good example) on mobile devices once again. iPhone 6 Plus here.

Can we get 'Answered' removed from this?

Safari on iPhone 6 Plus. Images in 'Ferrari in London' article (just as one example) actually unviewable.

Thought I’d bump this as it seemed to settle down a bit briefly (i.e. the occasional news stories looked ok) but now everything is hideously pixelated again pretty much without exception.
