Has anyone noticed the PH logo changes depending on what page you're on?
View a topic or make a post and it's just PistonHeads. Submit a post and it says Gassing Station under it?
Ok, doesn't seem to be happening now. If you go back a few pages you'll see the below screenshot posted by a different member showing the different logoView a topic or make a post and it's just PistonHeads. Submit a post and it says Gassing Station under it?

Something's going badly wrong with the formatting, it's fking up what were perfectly fine nested quotes.
Only when your own posts are included in the nested quotes. It's a known issues (as in, it's been mentioned here already. Whether or not it has been taken on board by the PH Team isn't clear right now)Gretchen said:
It's still st on the iPhone.
Literally st.
And what exactly do you think the team are going to be able to do with such incisive, constructive feedback as that?Literally st.
"It's st, it's st, its st! Waaaaaaaaah!"
WTF is wrong with so many people on here that they are reduced to such pointless whining?
For the record that's a perfectly legitimate mobile device design. Sure, you don't like it, I get that, but how about some specific details, some constructive feedback, that the team can use to help decide on improvements?

I've not commented on the appearance of the forum before, it seemed fine to me as it was, but logging in today I am finding the new font very awkward to read , it seems to be badly spaced with some characters having double-pixel uprights (eg lower case i and the right vertical on the H etc...) , it resembles the text results you get when you set your screen resolution to a non-standard res, and it has to scale to fit.
The colours seem fine , as is the bold font in the topic lists , but the non-bold font within topics i am finding very unpleasant.
+1, but fixed instantly with a "ctrl" + "-" to reduce the screen zoom to 90%. (in Chrome)The colours seem fine , as is the bold font in the topic lists , but the non-bold font within topics i am finding very unpleasant.

Probably doesn't mean anything to the youth of today as they'll have never seen layout before! Was that Ceefax or Oracle . Can never remember the difference. I do remember after stabbing in your page number with the remote you had to wait until the counter had gone all the way round before it would load the page you wanted. Most irksome.zarjaz1991 said:

Agreed, but think the thread is reaching a bit of a tipping point where the frothing mouth brigade have found something different to rail about and the sensible feedback is gaining ground. "It's st, it's st, its st! Waaaaaaaaah!"

Not surprised the PH guys only feedback once a week or so and mostly stick to fixing bugs and inconsistencies quietly
Still want my money back though

If you don't believe me, try it!
The username isn't even in bold.
I'm guessing because of the & in the username?
But I'm sure it used to work ok.....

Testing...
EDIT - I bet it's because of the & in your username.

Don`t forget those who have a good screen, good eyesight, don`t mind change and don`t usually moan yet are coming into this section for the first time to complain because the font and colours cause them eyestrain.
Just because you don`t have an issue with it doesn`t mean those posting about eyestrain with the font and colour combo are making it up you know
There is something odd about it - is that the worlds biggest spacing for an apostrophe Just because you don`t have an issue with it doesn`t mean those posting about eyestrain with the font and colour combo are making it up you know

Punctuation in user names has never worked with quoting - "Who Me?" and "Nigel Worc's" are the most visible offenders. As I pointed out last time I raised it, the system should be able to quote any legitimate username. So either it needs to be fixed, or else users shouldn't be allowed to create incompatible usernames. But if you go that route you'll have to force a username change on the users who have incompatible names.
So the system should be able to quote any username that it allows users to create. You can't really blame a user for having a username that breaks quoting if you allowed them to create that username in the first place.
Edit: In the case of C&C, we've already demonstrated on other threads (notably the Fountain Pen thread) that changing "C&C" to "C+C" is compatible with the quoting system, as is "CandC".
