I've just come here to complain about this and see there are already a couple of threads. Jack Mansfield! You replied on one of the other threads, what are you doing about it?!

Who meddled with Pistonheads and broke it? Can you kindly put it back to how it was and then kindly resign, please? Go and break something else for your money.

If you delete a post on any thread 'return to topic' gets you to page one.

Don't have the problem if signed out. You would've thought it's an easy fix with the problem only occurring after the unnecessary update.

Unfortunately, theres nothing I can personally do about it... All I can do is make the dev team aware and keep asking basically! Which is exactly what I have been doing, but there has been no breakthrough on finding the fix yet.

I'll post updates as soon as I have them available.

I'm in Germany this week. Been logged out until now. Every thread does take you to page one when not logged in. How bizarre

It was presumably designed to take you to your last read post in a thread, but what it does for me is take me to the post created just before the last time I visited the site even if I haven't read the thread before.
