What I dont understand is how the adserver works on PH

The page on a guy and his Ferrari/wife/kids dilemna has ads about ferrari servicing

This page has ads about funeral plans
I didn’t realise people still had adds?
wink
I've recently had an upgrade and the ads are back
theydont seem to be as intrusive as when the new version of this site appeared

You've clearly never worked with him.

fking REEKS of onions. If he got in close enough I think he could make the statue of David cry.

After that he’ll tell him to get a mapped Golf R because it’s faster.

(See above)

Edit I meant a page or 2 ago, he told someone to replace a 911 turbo with a Golf R

If you get a Golf R and remap it to stage 3, it will be slightly faster than that 911 Turbo.

So it all come back to the crux of the matter...

If there was an ‘ignore’ button we could just hide posts from the annoying types who post drivel on every single thread.

It’s surely not beyond the wit of man to add the functionality?

Equally it's not beyond the wit of man to not read anything you don't want to read, but let the witch hunt continue, this is what PH is good at wink

For what though? Because he is 'different'?
He splits his posts between genuine replies and complete trolling. A recent one was a guy was asking about ferrari's and he posted about a porsche to be funny, it got deleted. There have been a few others similar.

Likewise. If you don’t like my posts, don’t read them.

But that’s not the point, though, is it. If there was the option to ignore specific users, there would be no need for anyone to start threads discussing anyone’s posting habits because they wouldn’t be seeing the posts they are annoyed by.

And don’t include me in the witch hunt accusations. I’m not talking about the poster who’s the subject of this thread, and in fact I’m not thinking about any one person.

If there was an ignore option then yeah, I'd also like to think threads like this wouldn't exist.

And i'm of the same opinion that if you don't like a post, ignore it. Totally agree.

For the majority I think the problem isn't when the individual tells rubbish stories or shares some rather strange opinions on a subject, that's all fine and you can choose to laugh at those stories and ignore them without issue. The problem comes when they choose to talk nonsense in threads where people are looking for some factual advice. Whether it be someone looking for holiday advice or something more serious like financial or legal advice, what's out of order is when that individual decides to talk out of their arse and give st advice. Luckily there's plenty of people on here to tell the OP to ignore the troll posts, but it shouldn't happen in the first place.

The irony is though you are still clearly reading his posts despite calling for an ignore button hehe

Surely youd get some pretty disjointed threads with an ignore button, where a poster reanswers a question because he's ignored the same answer in the post just above
Just take the posts in the round

You’ve lost me now. Whose posts?

I’ve already said I’m not talking about the person named in this thread.

I don’t read posts by a couple of people, but rather than checking which poster has made each post before deciding to read it, an ignore button would be better. That’s all I’m saying.

I’m far from being the only one who thinks it would be a useful piece of functionality, but I also appreciate there may be issues with quoting, etc, etc. It’s not insurmountable though.

Scroll down through each post, eyes left, see who posted, read or ignore. What could be easier?

And I am betting you joined this thread because of the thread title, not to request an ignore button, that came later wink

My first post in here is the one you quoted yesterday.

I came to the Website Feedback section to see if there was a discussion about adding an ignore button, spotted this thread and thought it might be relevant.

Bet whatever you like. I honestly don’t care. I came here, I read some posts, I gave my opinion, you pulled that apart.

That’s all there is to it.

Have your sarcastic smilies back.

winkwinkwinkwinkwink

I’m out.

That still leads to some disjointed posting
Just scan through what theyve said
If its relevant post about it if you want to
If it isnt read the next one

On other forums I use, the ignore button works perfectly well. It never results in disjointed discussions because the one being ignored never adds to it in any positive way anyway.

Based on some of the replies we get on threads asking the same questions again and again, or repeating what another poster has posted a couple of pages earlier, many posters seem to have mastered the skim reading and "ignore post" aspect anyway without the need for an ignore button hehe
