Given what we know about Haymarket's policy towards the forum, I believe they keep Jack locked in a cupboard, like Richmond in the IT Crowd.
That tickled me...On a serious note - I've spoken with ads and unfortunately the space has been sold and is there to stay for the foreseeable. I don't want it there any more than you do, it's spammy nonsense to be honest, but I'm not included in the decision making process for these types of things...
Sorry everyone - please don't shoot the messenger

Obviously not your fault and thanks for looking in to it.
Does anyone know if I can install adblockers on a MacBook? I don't mind adverts, but those things are just too ste and they're above the sodding links you need to click to get out of a thread, so unavoidable!

Unlike ABP mentioned below, Ublock Origin is open source and not profit driven.

How long before we aren't able to access the forums without disabling our adblocker (which we wouldn't need if they weren't so intrusive)?
3-6 months I bet.Seems to me, we need a sticky in GG or somewhere listing the clickbait sponsors, and where members can pledge never to buy their goods or services (to the extent the shoite they are punting represents either, which is doubtful).
Jack, cheers for challenging it, but you need a job with a better employer chap.

Just noticed this. Its a bit OTT and the kind of thing that pushes people to install ad blockers.
Get rid unless you want the forums to look like a crappy clickbait website.

I have AdBlocker on my PC (and active for Pistonheads site) and it still shows the Sponsored Content.
