Get rid unless you want the forums to look like a crappy clickbait website.
It's not like I'm getting any decent clickbait links either, one is "how not to fall into the senior style trap" hehe

I have ABP and it was showing the sponsored content. A wee look in the options and there is a box for "allow acceptable ads" I unchecked that and the sponsored content went away
Thanks for this.

Ad blocker is not screening it.

And there was me believing Haymarket had stopped making changes to the forum. rolleyes

Being constructively critical, could it be moved below the whats new/my stuff etc. links at the page bottom?
Which adblocker?
uBlock Origin on Chrome has let nothing new through today, lately or ever.
AdBlock Plus. smile
I’ve got adblocknplus and these massive three photos of sheds and insurance and other rubbish are on every page.

It’s so clumsy on a mobile device. Totally puts me off any company advertising or sponsoring.

I tried that (safari iPhone) but they’re still there.

What browsers are you on? I’ve already done this but still have the sponsored content.

They did this a few years ago and then changed it back after everyone complained if I remember correctly.

Bet it doesn't happen this time.

On my iPhone I installed ABP but it’s only for Safari. How the heck do I get it for Chrome on an iPhone?

Numpty am I.

Ad block plus with the "allow acceptable ads" unchecked works for firefox here.

I didn't mind the banner ads before, or even the ones at the side of the page next to some posts, but this looked ridiculous.

Cheers. I just used the 'block an ad on this page' function. It asked me to select the ad then move a slider forward until it was gone.

It would be passable if it was advertising car related stuff but it’s not. Am I really going to have to install an ad blocker on my iPhone??

fking website development unless it’s critical.

Critical to trying to raise money. Oh, and ps off members.
