Just browsing ph on the laptop and while I was reading the topics in SP&L it loaded up a fake macaffe warning, then switched to some other crap about windows defender and finally settled on an fbi warning.

It only visits a couple of sites and this is the only one I'm having trouble with. its done it a few times over a few days and I suspect you have one of your st adverts from the bottom of the page leaching dross.

this site is a fking joke, tons of adverts, unstable UI and stupid design mistakes, it looks shabby.

Sort it out.

Just had a similar page redirect and popup a (false) warning about McAfee expiration and renew now button. Button pointing at something like renew.mcafee.com.fdsafjdsalkjflkad.steam

Only PH open and i'd gone downstairs for some tea, so some rouge advert somewhere. Clicking back a couple of times went back to SP&L PH forum which is where i left it.

Needs fixing please.

You still have the problem, its getting worse.

Its just popped up in the classic cars left to rot thread, reading a reply and the screen goes blank, the damn thing re-directs and after going through a few dodgy looking domains settles on a warning that I have a virus.

Sort it out guys, its dong this across multiple PCs whenever I am logged on.

Oh, and I keep getting logged off all the time despite clicking the remember me thing, I go to a US based Camaro forum maybe 6 or 7 times a year and never have to log into that, you are way bigger and have way more "admin" yet still seem unable to do anything about any of the user problems.

I bet they are linked to the spammy Outbrain adverts, Outbrain and Taboola are an internet cancer on websites with their honey pot banner adverts and fake descriptions and should never be used.

I often got the fake Mac one over the last few weeks when on PH at work. Not had any issues at home on Windows, but that may be due to pop-up blocker.

Yep, pretty poor.

I've had the "warning" several times over the past few days.

I guess they think rubbish like term 9.4 actually excludes them from liability for stuff like this?

Might be worth actually trying to make those 'reasonable endeavours' before leaning on it too hard.

They can 9.4 as much as they like but the crap adverts are still here, the fake warnings are popping up all over and any scans I do on any of the machines I have here come back clean.

They have something that is bunging the pages up hoping that the less experienced will click on the link or button in the page and activate the virus.

Each time its come up I have exited via the task manager so I don't interact with it at all, I don't even trust the red X to get rid.

Hi all,

Apologies that no one has got back to you on this yet but clearly this needs resolving ASAP. I've raised the issue with our product team and will let you know as soon as I have an update.

Thank you Ben.

Its eased off the last few days and I have only seen it once on my laptop and not at all at work.

Hopefully the "products team" have not just shrugged and said, yeah, we know...
