Not had these before but getting them frequently today. The site is pretty unusable on a mobile.
Ditto. Unreadable site now on my iphone. Weirdly it hasn’t happened on this thread but every thread on Formula 1 I cannot read thanks to the redirects...38911 said:
PH utterly unusable again on mobile. Continual redirects to a spammy Amazon advert. Never known any other forum/site suffer these problems to this extent for such a long period of time so it’s something PH is doing that is allowing/encouraging/attracting this bullst.
PH is getting unusable on an iPad using home WiFi broadband, due to these ‘Congratulations’ break-ins. It does not happen on other sites at all. PITA.Utterly unusable on tablet and phone, both iOS and Android. Not tried laptop.
I try to avoid using ad block on free sites like this as it’s only fair to “pay” for use/upkeep of the site with background ads that generate revenue for PH..... But if you’re going to let these kind of ads run then I’m afraid ALL ads are being blocked from now on.

Firstly, I can’t believe that PH is knowingly allowing ads that are so massively disruptive - the negativity from forum users far outweighs any benefits
So, if the re-directs aren’t allowed, then PH must be being hacked or manipulated - AGAIN.
This is the worrying bit - we had this issue a few weeks ago, but now it’s back - why didn’t PH take steps to prevent unscrupulous advertisers hiding their viruses in otherwise innocent-looking ads?

Pi-Hole is brilliant for home networks, you can use any browser and never see an ad and it works for any internet connected device I.e. mobile phones, TVs, computers

Makes you wonder how lax the rest of this place is with regards to security.
Assuming this isn’t sarcasm then I will give you an indication of how seriously PH take data security. Until recently, your password was communicated as plain text. That meant it was very easy for people to see it. PH knew this issue for years and didn’t do anything about it. And, for those of us a little knowledgable, it was very obvious the second you got on the site this was the case. Gassing Station | Website Feedback | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
