Yeah. My subscription expired today!! All I had to do was click a button to renew it.

Except I don't use McAffee...

Just to add to this, and I hope I'm not jinxing myself, but I've never had this issue once in the years that I've been on this site, using various pc's and phones.

If you're getting redirects I'd recommend downloading malwarebytes adwcleaner. Purpose built lightweight scanner which sniffs out hard to find malware like redirecters.

I had the same redirect yesterday - it will put people off using the site if it keeps happening.

It's just happened to me too. Great sitting in the office and having the high pitched squeal suddenly come screaming out of the speakers...

I know dodgy ads are an issues, but come on PH, this is rubbish.

That all but confirms it then.

Since Haymarket won't sort it out the only solution is for everyone to run an ad block plugin.

It's a very sad state of affairs to be honest.

I will just add that the machine now has Avast on it and that keeps catching all sorts of site redirects that say the "license has expired" and similar. nearly all the catches have dodgy looking names. Its only on PH.

Just for fun I put Malwarebytes on my home laptop, it keeps catching "potentially unwanted programs" but only on PH.

So are there actually any admins on this forum who can sort these rogue adverts or are we just talking amongst ourselves?

Just us i believe.
I've got Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin so nothing gets through, but turn them off and this place is worse then the dodgy pron sites And i don't mean the everyday ones, I mean the real dodgy ones!

Sad really.

Same. Install AdBlock and the problems goes away. I don't mind advertising as I know its the only way sites like this can stay afloat but if they cant be arsed sorting the problem out I'll simply block the ads.

The fact that PH staff only comment about once a fortnight (at best) shows they don't give a st.

Imagine this was viewed as a serious issue in a large corp. Issue would be resolved in hours, not months.

Its getting beyond the joke now I am getting this every 20-30 mins now. Forces me to close all tabs as I cant close the PH only tab. Real PITA.

Is there a version of AdBlock for MS Edge?

Hi all,

We really do apologise for the ongoing issues. We are currently assessing malware blocking providers, but I'm afraid this may take some time as we are testing their capabilities.

We'll keep you updated as we go, but please bear with us!

Many thanks,

Jack
