Dark mode for the forum

We'll be rebuilding the forums next year so this is definitely something we'll look at as part of the rebuild
Oh my very dear...Surely you jest?
It mostly works, after a fashion... whenever any change has been made in the past, no matter how minor or trivial it breaks something/everything else.
Unless you've found a way to export everything into a modern, off-the-shelf solution...

Dark mode is - for some - much more restful.
Quite the opposite for me, unfortunately. The contrast of dark mode literally makes my eyes go funny and brings on a migraine.
I am totally in favour of people having choice, of course.

(Sorry for the necropost. I was going back through my old posts looking for a specific one, and stumbled upon this)
Just found this one: Dark Theme - Dark mode for Chrome, its such half moon icon , you can ad via your browser webstore? many aps just look for 'dark mode' and that half moon icon, works good, I now work with it
you also have to turn it on... but you will find it, then you can also choose how dark etc, peace for my eyes :-) specially when its dark outside every time I felt it in my eyes, now finally I started looking for a solution :-)
its for free and for many browsers, something like this

Good find. Unfortunately on my Mac it kicks in rather late after page loading, leading to an even worse experience. YMMV.

works great and you can choose your back ground color, dark so black or green etc., first impression, not bad and easier to use.
