Easy fix on the back end - just set the poster’s post count to 1,000… Whether that would be done, who knows?

Thank you for all of the feedback on this thread however it has now served it's purpose and it's time to bring it to a close.

To clarify a couple of points – we won't be whitelisting certain members and we won't be changing the criteria anytime soon. We'll continue to review behaviour and if it's deemed that we need to roll this out further to other non-motoring forums, then we may do so.

We appreciate that some people are frustrated by this change but to re-iterate my initial post, PistonHeads is first and foremost a motoring community. Our non-motoring forums were set up for people that came to PH primarily for their love of cars to chat about other things occasionally – not for people that have absolutely no interest in motoring which we've seen all too often in NP&E.

Those that seem to be most frustrated by this change post primarily in NP&E, and that's not what PH is about. There are many other websites focused on news and politics where you'll be better served.

Thank you to those that support the decision and will continue to be welcome members of PH.
