Fabulous! May I ask - did you buy from new? And how do you compare the SV to the standard aventador in terms of comfort? I was told that a 60 mile drive is no problem in a normal but anything more than 20mins in an SV requires a pre booked chiropractor?

And regards mine - I had literally booked it to go satin black, dark tints, smoked brake lights and only rims in gold ... but when it arrived I fell in love and will leave her alone for minimum 6 months before I violate her biggrin

Yes I bought mine from new and was told that I would find the standard sports seats uncomfortable so I opted for the Leather comfort seats. Apparently upon can go back from leather to standard if you wish but the other way round - so I have options. I have driven the car an hour or so on a couple of occasions and it is quite comfortable to be honest - no issue at all.

Wow! That SV is stunning! I am very envious. I think if I owned that machine I would be spending a great deal of time driving it. I have an SL2 and that gets used a fair amount. I have a 260 mile round trip commute to work 3 x per week. I use the SL2 at least twice a month sometimes more to make that Journey. There is something about the A11 from Norwich to Newmarket that cries out for me....especially the roundabouts around Thetford that you can hoon away from to the next one....all strictly within legal limits, of course. Gets driven about for pleasure on other days too.

Whilst I adore the Aventador, I think if I did upgrade it would be to a Huracan Spyder....but then again still not sure I am as in love with the physical beauty of the Huracan vs the LP Gs. All very subjective and time will tell.

Yours though is outstanding....and out of reach!

An Aventador Roadster is probably the next best step-up from the SL2, and within possible reach. This is a classic vid of one blasting up the hills.

As above, the ASV is about as good as it gets. There was a blue one parked at Casino Square last weekend, and it got far more tourist attention than just about any one of the other ~50 supercars / sportscars parked around the hotel.

Every Aventador Roadster I have seen is well north of 300k, more than twice the price I paid for my SL2. So, unattainable for me anyway. Huracan Spyder a little closer but still a significant hike...

SL2 prices are going up and a good one should fetch £140-160k at the moment. An early AVR can be had for £260-280k. Balloon the difference. You know it makes sense thumbup

I would disagree. SL2 prices are not going up and there's no way anyone could sell one for £140-160k. Dealers may advertise at that level but that's not what a private owner would get. Trade bids are only around £100-£110k for a start and no one would buy one privately for anymore than £120k.

In reality it is not really relevant to me. I love my SL2 and not planning on selling it for some time, time being measured in years not months. It is a keeper for me.... :-)

The SL1 is in the £120-130k range. A 2011 SL2 model got sold in April on SoR for £139k. And pretty much every SL2 for sale right now in July is minimum in the £140-150k range thumbup

Yes they may be for sale at 140-150 but none have been sold and still my comment stands.

I have a SL2 also and would love to be able to sell it for £135+ but in reality, I reckon £120-125 if I'm willing to sit patiently on a private sale and £100k-110k trade-in and that's with 4 brand new tyres and first major service just done. I bought mine for £132k at 4k miles in 2014 so prices have gone down or stayed the same in reality.

I love it but thinking of moving to a 991.1 GT3, I really don't care about values because that just spoils the enjoyment of these cars but your estimates are very high for what you could 'get' for your car.

That's interesting. Paid about the same in 2016 for my 2011 car at 10k miles. Now nearly at 15k, about to have 6th Annual Service. So on a representative sample size of 2 prices between 14 and 16 relatively stable and all those up for sale still sit around that number....for those that care. Lol. TBH, in a few years time if I ever change it, I may get back what I paid for it, I may not. But boy, have I had some fun in the meantime. So if I don't, I'll still consider it money well spent. Now....where shall I drive it next?

Agreed. Great cars for pure fun and any loss is well spent. Enjoy.
