Hi guys,

Sorry, I'm completely out of touch nowadays and have just seen the prices of Diablos... have I just had an aneurism or something?!?!?!

I did check to see if there was already a thread along these lines, so sorry if this has been covered elsewhere!

I'm *guessing* it's a handful of ignorant / naive / opportunistic dealers hoping for the best and flying a kite?

Are any actually changing hands at those prices?! They seem 2-3 times higher than I would expect!

Cheers! biggrin

98 Diablo SV sold last year for £149k, that's what spurred the market on, following the Contact massive rises

Unfortunately they aren't changing into my hands at that price frown I'd love to buy one but the last time I looked they were about £85k and just as I have enough saved, they rocket off in the distance eek just have to save a bit more or buy a Gallardo biggrin

When I worked at Amari last year we sold an SE30 for £188k. Same car might go for even more now.

An SE30 is a different kettle of fish though!

Actually selling an SV is very interesting though!

Am I right in thinking that car went abroad?

Sure but what's an early Diablo worth? £60-70k?
Manual, two wheel drive, no power steering.
A "proper", old school Lambo.
And 90% as good as the later variants?
Why pay more!?

Is £60-70k for a LHD or RHD?

Struggling to grasp a LHD Diablo being offered for sale for the same price as an equivalent RHD in UK
RHD would command a premium over LHD in the UK or is this not the case

There is good demand for Diablo’s worldwide. Collectable cars may well be sold to a LHD market. The cost of shipping is almost negligible in relation to the value of the cars and plenty of them get shipped abroad.
