High estimate was 550k Euros so didn't really exceed high estimate by over 200k Euros, but none-the-less still a strong price!

€168,000 more than the Countach 400s, surprising?

Diablo is still in my top 5 of semi affordable supercars to own one day
I still think there is nothing quite like the noise of the early 90 /95 model

740 euro including buyers premium!

Early Diablos are looking like a real bargain now

Good price for the diablo, and also for the Countach IMO, given the other results. The Countach needed everything fixed and wasn't the original spec. It was described as a candidate for a restoration project.

(The auctioneer used one of the best bits of BS I've heard - The Countach was "original at delivery ").

Can I just say, as far as Diablos go - this one is very good. I checked it out the other day. Drives so well I was quite shocked. Its the first Diablo I've driven and was expecting it to be hard work but it wasn't. Felt very tight.

In the late 90s, I took a very wealthy guy, who I knew through work and who spent quite a lot on cars, for a drive in my early Diablo.
I think he must have been expecting some kind of kit car experience.
Anyway, when we got back to the office he simply said to people "that's the fastest car I've ever been in" and walked off. Shortly after that, he bought his first Lambo.

It looks incredible but it has been for sale for nearly two years now- that is at least the second dealer and its selling price has grown by £60k!!

Dont get why it hasn't sold though. Its genuinely a really nice car. And when you consider the 512M's that people have for sale from the era but at £60k more than that it almost seems like a bargain if you take the Ferrari badge out of the equation.

I'm sure that an early Diablo should be worth more than an early Murci?

Looking at the current prices they are aren't they?

Mind you who knows what people are actually paying...

Long term would agree (although not certain on supply vs demand metrics- early Diablos are probably rarer?)- but right now early Murcis are probably at their nadir. Not yet classic and not yet at the point where people who had them on their walls as kids can afford them

I confess I am a little tempted to swap if the current pricing remains static but am worried that the later car might feel a little less special/less of an event (if a lot better driving).

Just depends what you want. They are quite different.
An earlier Diablo is a rawer car - no power steering, no electronic gizmos, 2wd. It's also a very clean design which I think may age well.
The Murci feels much more modern. Goes faster but doesn't quite feel as fast. Brakes are much better.

Reports Vary. Officially, 150 SE30s were made of which 15 were delivered to the UK RHD. 3 of these were Jotas. Reports are there may have been a couple of post factory conversions done. But I think you are looking at 3-5. Currently it's reported only 5 RHD SE30s are actually in the UK. At least 1 being a Jota.
