All,

I started a topic about decatted exhaust which kicked off a suggestion of a possible meeting in the UK for Lambo owners. A few people are interested and here is a suggestion from one of the guys for a suitable location reasonably central to us North and Southern owners. Do you think we could drum up interest for a reasonable turnout?

Place looks great to me and a reasonably central UK location. If we are going to organize an event I know from experience of my TVR days you never find somewhere that suits all. Its going to take a bit of organising wherever and whenever so suggest we pick a place and a date and stick with it. I will copy this to a new forum subject to see if we get a few others interested?

Suggestion from one of the guys below

How about Fawsley Hall ? Just off the A43 near Silverstone;

It's where Silverstone Porsche have all of their events. It's not too dear anyway, and they do special rates if you mention your a customer of Silverstone Pork. Secure place, big car park, discretely out of the way and safe for the cars. Lots of good roads and pubs around that bit of the A43 too....

The Sharnbrook Hotel meet, near Milton Keynes and Bedford, just off the M1, run by the Lambo Club, next in Jul 2017, is always a good one.

I second the Sharnbrook Hotel, great venue and the guy that owns it has a yellow gallardo spyder !

As per your previous thread, I'll come along. Lets make it an overnighter so we can enjoy the cars, then beer & food etc.. Second venue suggested looks perhaps less safe for peoples P&Js. Especially if there's an Abba tribute on that night too. I would venture to suggest, in the nicest possible way, that we're all probably of the means to stretch to slightly more than the £85 per night room rate of The SharnBrook.

ETA... The Lambo club meet may not be what the OP's trying to achieve here. I've come across too many merchant bankers there. Just sayin'. Shame not many of us are on Lambo Power. A great crowd, mostly US based though. I do see that DelMar has just made an appearance however.....

Fawsley Hall is a lovely venue and there are some great roads in the area too.

Can recommend some great pubs for food etc.,.. too in the area.

If I still have the Jalpa I would be interested in coming along.

One option is to spend Sat night at Fawsley Hall and Sun daytime at the Sharnbrook meet. It always gets a big, respectful crowd and 100-200 cars of all premium brands.

Another option is Silverstone Classic in July.

Sounds a good call although I am not sure of family holidays at that time.

I too am on Lambo Power interesting that the USA guys don't mind helping with DIY ideas whereas in the UK we see it as a NO NO and the car should always got to the specialist. Well from my experience that does not always get you the best results. I restored my Pantera over four years without any specialist help and the car was seen to be one of the best in Europe. On the other hand I have just had a significant bill for work at a Lambo garage and the car was returned in a pretty poor state. I am now paying for a detailer to clean it inside and out!

Lets keep the thread on a possible meeting going to see if we can get something sorted

Apologies to all, work commitments and holidays have wrecked the summer so I did not take the idea forward. I think the Sharbrook Hotel seems the best bet.

I was at The Sharnbrook hotel meet last year in July and think its a good meet with good turn up of cars.
The September meet last year was packed full, so need to be a bit early as it becomes a 'just park anywhere quick' as space fills out. Each year looks to get busier than the previous. All credit to Ciro & team for keeping the meets going.

I will be going this year for July and September meets.
Who else is planning it and where are you coming from? possible convoy?.
I'll either be coming down from Cambs or up from London.

There is a smaller meet on Sunday the 24th September which is a charity day with classic, American and supercars meeting.
