Let me know when they put a decent gearbox in the Aventador and I'll have another. In the meantime for me at least it remains a show pony.
I haven't driven an earlier car but I drove a brand new S demonstrator and was pleasantly surprised how smooth and usable the 'box was at low/parking speeds.

Really quite fancy this SVJ/Performante/whatever. Just a question of whether I can get hold of one.

Currently in the US and my dealer has offered me a build slot. Yes, he actually called me and asked if I was interested. So my question is how many SVJs are they building?

I'm guessing more then 500 as it will affect the SV if they build same amount or less

I've read a 1000, maybe more. If true, I'll probably pass on a slot. I can't see them going up in value any time soon with so many around. It's the SV all over again...

Rumour has it that it has been beaten the GT2 RS ring record by 2 seconds https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/lamborghini...

Looks like it could hold the record for fastest N/A record around the ring and actually hold it indefinatably which will add a little kudos.

Wonder what value my plate V12 JOT will have anybody interested drop me a PM.

The full length video of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ lap time of 6:44:97 at the Nurburgring is now available for viewing on YouTube and is very impressive indeed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRsq35Et-EY

Still think there’s a better time in the car biggrin

Such a sad time if they drop that Ferrari which looks inevitable

I think that was a get a lap on the board and come back later ........ , there were a number of fluffed gearchanges , in the wrong gear twice , not flat out in the last quarter of the long straight and dip just before the finish line. More to come from that car without question .

Anyone know of the numbers of SVJ's ? same as SV or more/less?
It looks like Lamborghini are at least two maybe three years away from releasing the new v12 so is it possible another iteration of the aventador is due or is the aventador S enough to keep Lamborghini going till they restructure the line to make way for the new model?
I am itching to see what the next Lamborghini will look like as its hard to top the aventador looks.

I think the S has pulled the SV down a little in value however the smart money in my opinion will stay with the SV, sure the S is fundamentally a better but since when did that matter.
I think the next Aventador will be a very different car mainly because the tub can’t carry a twin clutch so it’s more or less a clean sheet design, electric motor and all!
SVJ’s etc are just fillers with their etc 10bhp in the interim.

Would love an SV - such a interesting looking car. For me the lack of dual clutch box would actually be a positive point
Maybe one day if they drop further in value

Also the SV is number limited, the S is just a run of the mill Aventador. The SV might be the car to keep if the SVJ is not number limited.

Looks like the reveal will be the one KHK spotted
Teaser pics of a Matt Green one have been released

Be a shame if it is not number limited.. and to think the extreme version of the SV won’t be as valueable/collectible as it just doesn’t make sense imo

Lambo are in a difficult position. If they make it limited then it will kill the SV and SV owners will not be happy as they thought they had bought a limited edition Aventador. But if it's not limited then it won't make sense to have an extreme version of the SV

Surely the SV owners won’t be too disgruntled... they can probably sell there cars now (if haven’t already flipped) and have had free motoring for 2 years and many be in a position to buy the Jota to replace it ???
