Aventador S who's took delivery?
Discussion
Not got one, but drove one at Millbrook last week.
On the Alpine circuit, it was noticeably less like driving a jet propelled blacksmith's anvil than the predecessor. It is, however, still noticeably a V12 Lambo and, happily, the updates have not transmogrified it into some sort of namby-pamby superlight thing.

A good review I thought and sums it up really. A bit pointless too big, impractical, ott, everything a old school super car should be and still quite nippy!. 👌Should be fun!http://youtu.be/RwbiVXYJUXc

Hey Steve! I hope the collection went well today :-) I'm looking forward to seeing you drive through the village with this beautiful car. Enjoy her in good health and if you see a wildly gesticulating and waving guy in the village then it's probably me ;-)
All the best,
Dan

Just collected mine today, but only had chance to drive it 25 miles back from the dealership so far. (thanks to Chris at Birmingham for top service as usual).
Most noticeable updates are ...
The Sound - the blips, pops and bangs - goes quiet at idle, then instantly opens the pipes when you accelerate. Fairly sure it sounds louder than my SV and higher pitch at higher revs, but not had her properly screaming just yet.
The 4 wheel steering - really does liven the car up and turn in is very much an all round quicker afair, as you'd expect.
Looks - It's hard to improve such a stunning base design, but the tweaks are noticeable to those who know these cars ... I deliberately didn't spec this one with loads of carbon, which I wish I had now to be honest. I wanted to keep the SV feeling the more special car of the two and use the S more.
The only thing I don't like so much is the large mass of black plastic at the rear, compared to my original Aventador. I guess they want to push the carbon though.
The polished wheels are simply gorgeous and really bring the car to life.
Electronics - the electronics seem to have moved on quite a lot. The full screen dash can switch from circular Rev/Soeedo to the same layout as the SV. This can be selected by Strada/Sport in Rev counter, Corsa brings up the SV layout. EGO can be set up however you want which is a nice feature.
The reversing camera is now displayed on the main dash rather than the audio system screen.
Performance wise - it feels as quick as the SV (albeit based on only a few miles). It feels a bit sharper too, but not quite as hard/bouncy. Time will tell once I've got a few miles under the belt.
Overall first impressions - same car but has taken the game on quite a bit, in lots of little areas which seem to have made quite a big difference even compared to the SV, but it doesn't feel (in my head) quite as special as the SV, which is exactly how I wanted it. I think you could change this by adding all the carbon options etc.
Will post again once I've had chance to drive the car a bit more!

S1M VP congratulations the White does look great which I wasn't sure of when I specced mine, makes it look bigger. The Carbon rear vents might be worth considering against that body they're things of beauty.
I've done about a thousand miles in mine now Ego preferences are transmission and Steering in Corsa and suspension strada. At low speeds around town the car behaves perfectly, especially when parking, which I couldn't say about my first Aventador. Seems quicker than my first car but that might be because the gearbox is more fluid, far from perfect but much better.
Overall great car and great fun.
Enjoy!
Cheers
