Heads up on my old Murci
Discussion
I don't understand the pricing, isn't this the norm?

Are dealers like this just chancing their luck in hope of some mug paying close to asking price or is there some bigger scam going on here? It's almost as if they don't wan't to sell the car.
I think there must be something else going on with these back street dealers and overpriced high end cars...coco79 said:

Washing..money..laundry..Not saying that is what is happening here of course, but it's a possibility if you were that way inclined.

Car bought for 130k, advertised for 270k, actually sold for 140k, 130k of 'other' funds introduced to make the 'official' sale on the books £270k

There must be a car wash operating around the back too Not saying that is what is happening here of course, but it's a possibility if you were that way inclined.

have an illegal business eg drugshave a legit business eg high end cars
get "3rd party" to buy cars at inflated prices with your dirty money
dirty money turned into legitimate profit
you have to pay taxes, and report high value cash transactions but might get away with it
(not saying this is occurring at all in the above situation, maybe they just have really good salesmen)

I get that but putting an extra £100k+ in cash through a bank is going to raise a lot of alarms. Regardless of what you sell.
But the layering part would then be buying another high end car with the "legit" cash from the customer and selling that for financed money...all clean and reportable. Not saying they are but that is probably the sort of thing that happens.

Do you get some self gratification spouting rubbish on the internet and trying to damage someones business without a shred of evidence?
Nothing but speculation and hearsay by the usual suspects.
If it looks like st, smells like st and tastes like st, chances are it probably is st.Nothing but speculation and hearsay by the usual suspects.
yes yes.... but I have seen ( events ,ads, etc.) that in Euro the classic cars have doubled or even tripled the prices.
in particular porsche 911.
the diablo have disproportionately high prices, for example. (i see 200/250.000euros)
I can understand a countach or a miura but a diablo no: then the murcy (150/200e) today is donated to today's prices.

Not sure I agree regarding the Diablo - an early Diablo is the last of the real old style Lambos, no power steering, no ABS, no traction control, pop up headlights........raw and a very good looking car.in particular porsche 911.
