Selling prices is one thing but why would any dealer advertise a car at at least £25k cheaper than the next cheapest and a lot less than most of similar age and miles. Seems an odd thing to do.

Fair enough it is out of warranty unless it was specced with the additional years from new but it does suggest there must be some story with the car as it has done few miles so likely in pretty good condition, could be a sor fire sale and owner needs it gone quickly I guess.
So I searched around and it I think this is the SV hence why it's listed so low:

Doesn't appear to be the same car (the one at Amari has the small SV stickers below the doors whereas the one linked in the DM article has the large ones on the rear flanks).

I think the Amari car is my old SV. Identical spec and registered in the same month and year as mine. It's one of the very few without the multi-function steering wheel (which I should have got because it's actually pretty useful). Otherwise I kept it a year or so and did 2,000 ish miles. Never put a foot wrong.

Ad says 3000 miles then says last service was at 4000+ miles, odd.

From the Ad its missing service history, only been serviced twice in 3.5 years missing first service and running in service assume that is why it is cheap, most people would not buy a rare car of this value without this. Probably why it's going through an independent as well as lamborghini used wouldn't warranty it.

Or it could be the one that went through the window and somebody changed the sticker to make it look different or both

Could obviously be a different car with identical spec, but mine was definitely serviced by Lamborghini London during my ownership from new.

If that’s worth £25k off, I’d be on the buy side of the trade.
The world’s gone mad about this sort of stuff.
It’s a new car; it’s not open heart surgery.

To certain degree i agree with that, my concern would be the unknown, if it had been used hard on its original heavy fluids for an extended period if its not had a running in service.

Could be absolutely fine but would you want o take a risk on a car out of warranty on engine and gearbox being overly stressed early in life, which could lead to leaks or damage later, obviously pure speculation though.

I would strongly suspect given the price there is more to this car than that though, like you say someone would likely happily take a bit of discount for a missing service with so few miles on it.

I remember people getting bent out of shape if a BMW M3 didn't have a record of its 'running in' service or having it a few hundred miles late. I never understood why someone who buys a Brand New car doesn't do the running in service especially in many cases it is probably thrown in as part of the deal, but also thought peoples concerns were slightly blown out of proportion especially when in some cases you were talking 200 miles overdue. I would be shocked however if someone bought a £300k+ limited edition car and then didn't get the first service done.

Totally agree few hundred miles is nothing, just odd to go way more than double the running in miles and 2 years before servicing. Ad seems pretty clear on the date history and mileages at the listed services, as I said I would suspect there is something odd about the car given the price and listed history.

Car is also terrible to drive before it’s had that service, as are all Aventadors, like your braking without braking, combination of thicker fluids and resistance of the big engine whilst wearing in. Never noticed it to such extremes on any other car even V10 Lambos

Isn’t pricing just a reflection of SVJ deliveries?

Makes you wonder the bath people will be taking on the SVJ if SV's have dropped so much.

Nail/head. It's as simple as that. If it's my old car then it was properly run in, driven, and serviced when it was supposed to be by a main dealer and whilst I can't speak for what's happened to it since then, but assuming not a lot given it's barely added any miles, then it looks like good value at this price. IIRC it was around £350k ish on the road.

To answer the other poster, SVJ's are currently commanding a premium but given there's 900 odd going to be built then inevitably they'll end up trading below list before too long. A decently but not extravagantly specced one with the carbon everywhere and lifting system etc comes in at about £400k.

Not really as everyone thought the SV was the last of the aventador's. SV have held their value for 3 years and only dipped now. All supercars have gone down in value not just SV's.

Seems to me that they’ve held their value remarkably well, as all Aventadors have.

Hi,

I work at AMARI, it was in fact me who bought the SV into stock. It clearly isn't the car that crashed, there is no 'story' behind the car. It is simply advertise at a price which we feel is the correct price for this particular vehicle in todays market. However if anyone wants to pay more for it you're more than welcome!!

Service wise it hasn't been done every year, which isn't that uncommon. Coupon A carried out in 2016 along with 2 service in 2017 and 2019 all done by Lamborghini Manchester. The whole car is in fantastic condition and priced correctly. If anyone wants to come and inspect it you are more than welcome.

Is there a marque/make/model of car that isn't dipping in value at the moment? All the old favorites, Porsche Gt models etc are having a reality check at the moment and it can only be a good thing. If you bought a car and think the premium it gathered of late was sustainable then more fool you. Over supply met by dwindling demand they're only going one way. Lots of cars on finance that maybe were a stretch for owners to buy are now being dumped and I wonder how many now are suffering negative equity?
Real shame but I'm hoping if the values come down to a realistic point people might actually start driving these things instead of polishing them in their garage.

I don't know if I would necessary agree with that.

I know every market is different but for example, in the US SV's have lost anywhere from $50k-$100k on average and even with discounted prices SV's are still sitting on dealer lots. It's quite concerning seeing how the SV was a limited production car and there's actually less SV than SVJ's. Only silver lining is the roadster seems to have held up better.

Interesting so this might just be the first "clean" SV that will sell for under 300. The market has differently changed.

Cars normally lose about half their value in 3-4 years.
The last few years have not been normal.

Is this the first sub 300k Aventador SV? or has there been others?

White just looks to covert on them! Lovely, even classy but just not lairy enough for me at least!

Problem may be its not got the option wheels which would be very expensive to change to centre lock as well as new wheels, and would probably be a must for a great many buyers. Dione wheels are better looking imo, just not on that car.
