Any updates on how the first drive went... wink
Roads caked in crap and raining today, no fun for its first drive out
Looks good for tomorrow though so am hoping to get it out.

Correct it is.
Looks somewhat better on the SVJ than on say a cooking Huracan for some reason
Maybe it’s all the contrasting shiny carbon bits
I’m glad I spec’d the shiny carbon as most seem to have left them matte and I don’t reckon it looks as good at all

that does look brilliant in red. saw the dark blue on in London and it is a bit too dark to see the scoops and wing etc.

Just been out for a 50 mile blast in the SVJ.
Was a bit greasy out there today and the tyres needed scrubbing in as they are brand new.

Basically felt no different to my previous SV Roadster really.
The exhaust is quieter than the SV which is disappointing (although they have dialled in some nice loud ‘cracks’ in on the overrun)
Absolutely nowhere (and I mean nowhere) to store anything in the car (no glovebox, door pockets, centre cubby holes etc)
Rear vision totally lost to the big ALA air scoop (not ideal as I was tailed by an unmarked cop car for 10 miles)
Brakes are noticibly plop compared to the Performante
It looks the total absolute bks though and feels very special to be in.
The Performante is a better drivers car by some margin
This is the undisputed swinging dick look at me version though
I’m sure nearer 10/10ths (or even 7/10ths) it will show the improvements though
I didn’t really give it big licks today on account of the conditions.

Doesn't the 4 wheel steer make it feel more agile?

Tbh not really on the drive I just did
Probably notice it more when pressing on somewhat
Was too greasy on the roads to get too daring today.

How do you reverse park it anyway. I’m assuming you have parking sensors and a rear view camera. It’s the only thing that’s putting me off from buying one wink

Fair enough. Like you I prefer the drive of the smaller of my Lamborghini's but the Aventador is such an event! It's just mental. A flying saucer could land next to you at the petrol station and no-one would pay attention to it! hehe

I will more than likely be getting a Performante Spyder in due course but will probably keep the Aventador. They do get under your skin if you can live with the attention.

Is this currently in the showroom at Manchester?
I was in today, if not yours they have one very similar.

Does it move from dealer to dealer? If so, I'd be interested to know when it's in London or Chelmsford.

Probably too late now.

That should be called a Diablo in that colour combination. Absolutely evil looking thing. Fantastic.

Hasn`t got to chelmsford yet, between chelmsford and tunbridge wells there should be a white one and a red one

I asked Chelmsford to let me know when/if they got one in too. They seemed very unwilling to do so and just said pop in if passing and that seemed an effort.
Shame really.
