Surely that's LP640 territory or have they moved on that much,

I think the saying " Asking and getting are two different things" might

apply here.rolleyes

Overpriced for the time of the year? Finance expensive? Manuals becoming less appealing?

It’s a nice car but it’s had a few colour changes recorded - a lot of the Manual Murci buyers are put off by this.

It went from Verde Ithaca to white, white and black to Verde Ithaca and black like it is now. It is still a lovely car, I think the colour suits it well with silver wheels.

Colour changes were fine when they were £75K/£85K which wasn't that long ago ,

Asking a buyer to part with not far short of £200K of his hard earned money is a entirely different matter .

My Countach had worn three different colours with the original one being gold so not a popular choice by most

hence i suppose the reason for the colour change ,remember no one wanted these cars back in the day and where

changing hands for as little as £25K/£35K so for that sort of money no one gave a f--k about colour changes but now

with the prices banging on the the door of £500K that outlook has completely changed ,I know that if i hadn't had a brain

miss function and sold it (for the right reasons at the time) as much as i hate gold the car would have been back to it's original colour by now

Interesting. I wonder if that’s the car that previously owned by Sambaman and sold by the now gone Specialist Cars of Malton.

If so the interior has changed too, I am sure it had diamond pattern leather,

I remember it colour changing to white and being a poor job.

I have some photos of it before it changed colour somewhere.

Yes, it was previously up for sale with Specialist Cars of Malton a few years ago.

In which case that is very expensive. I hope it’s come a long way from those days. It had a number of cable ties underneathhehe

Too much money. Recently saw a 40th Anniversary Manual sell for just under 150k. A Grigio Antares colour murci has been up for sale for a while and still not getting much attention at 139k. UK supplied Murci's haven't climbed in value at all. Mines probably still only worth what i paid 7 years ago. In the USA - They are rising in value.

No reason most old sports cars should climb in value?

People seem to have got used to a period that was unusual.
Free money changes asset pricing.

Old cars is, at least in part, a numbers game - x2 Murcies as Diablos for example.

It’s been for sale for a lot longer than that as it was at Amari for £199k before being at Furlonger. It’s a SOR car - I guess it beats paying for your car storage irked

Anyone know the Grigio Antares car? Looks like a decent car and I would have thought £139k was a reasonable price for it, yet it continues not to sell.

Probably the colour and mileage hampering its sale. i have considered it myself - Mileage doesn't bother me but the colour is boring as hell.

I tried to buy this car when it was balloon white and yes the paint job was awful, whilst it was kept at Slades up for i think £109k , it was kept outside in the lower carpark in the rain for quite a few months not brilliant when the engine bay cover sloshes the rain directly into the engine bay and coilpacks ( paint drip in the right hand side drivers door buy the gas strut a blue interior doesnt help it either , it drove ok but the then owner had Mac f1 ,carrera gt , f50 and other stuff so doesnt give a toss if it sells or not really. When i drove it it had 11965 miles on Aug 5th 2014 its now 16,000 miles so 500 miles per year suggests based on my personal experience with manual muricies there will be a really really large bill coming soon. If i were buying it id offer £140 - 150k knocking £35k -45k off to pay for the first year or twos maintenance bills.

A couple of weeks back I offered Furlonger’s £174k for it subject to a Mike Pullen PPI. It’s SOR and after a couple of days they came back and said they can’t get the owner to deal (I know who it is). I asked how far apart are we… £10k was the answer rofl
I think it’s going to be around for some time.
Nice dodge I now think.
