The wing’s still on.........
Yes, I have that conversation with myself! And the wing is still on...

I have just ordered a new set of P-Zero tyres for my Anniversary (The Anniversary used these as original instead of P7 Cinturato). I checked Longstone and they were very expensive. Most places listed them as unavailable and my tyre man was also unable to get any. I found them on Amazon of all places, with the rears just £646 each delivered. They are showing as dispatched and are due to arrive next Wednesday, so we'll see.

I also have to replace the drive shaft CV boots which I suspect won't be much fun to do, has anyone on here done this job before and know what's involved?
Indeed silly money. Almost worth putting on the P7's to save a few quid. Be interesting to see how old the tyres are when they arrive ?

My Amazon order now shows as undeliverable, and apparently I will be getting a refund. It wasn't that they tried to deliver and failed, as it wasn't due to arrive until Wednesday, and now the tyres are not listed as available. Clearly Amazon don't have any left and failed to update their website.
It looks like the last batch of tyres have all sold then, so I'll just have to wait for the next batch. Longstone want far too much for theirs, over £1000 each for rears.

Give Mike Pullen a call. I talked with him today, said he had a set going if I knew of anyone.

Have a look at Facebook in groups Lamborghini Countach lovers and Countach lovers - someone has been posting photos of Countachs from back in the day.

I’ve put a few here if easier:

Thanks for posting Robert, Yet again bringing back the memories of good times at Mike's track days at Goodwood ,

Remember sitting in the yellow QV when Mike Perry opened Connaught Cars in Lots Road,

Certain the Reg 666RU wasn't on the car back then.

Here is an ad at Connaught. It was C705BYX from new then 25ASM certainly in 1989 at Portman, then Mike had it in 1990, then 666RU by 1995. Probably whoever bought it from Mike put 666RU on it.

Great photo's Robert,Memory not as sharp as it was but can recall my visits not just to Connaughts but all the

some what tired looking super car premises in and around London in the day not to mention Goodwood like they were yesterday.

Sad really as i got a job to remember what happened last week let alone anything else .

There must be a part of the brain that stores what's important to you ,must ask my shrink on my next visit.

I think it was" Maser Coupe" on one of his posts said they were the golden years of Super Cars and the characters

that drove them. Just glad to be part of it as the younger guys on the forum probably wondering what all the fuss is about.

what are peoples thoughts on the two anniversary models up at Amari? They seem to have been on sale for a long time. Is it the price, I know generally they are not as coveted as earlier models, but I see that Lambo London has one for sale at the same price.
Anyway, what do I know, I will never be able to buy one, just seems interesting to me.

Adam.

Not an expert by any means but the LHD one with the hideous US bumpers seems very expensive, despite the silly low miles which might cause more problems

Hi

Lambo London has a LHD Countach QV for sale (not an Anniv) and Amari has three Annivs for sale.

The low mileage Amari Anniv is LHD so will appeal to a global set of buyers and, with low mileage, investors, hence probably why it’s worth more including potentially to a US buyer.

The prices quoted for all the cars seem solid and not excessive - it takes a lot of time, money, knowledge and work to get these cars fully sorted, which is what you’d expect of Amari and Lambo London, probably reflected in the prices. You won’t have to spend 50 grand getting the car properly sorted.

Also, these are reputable dealers who know Countachs, so you know what you are buying (there has been some press recently about people being burnt buying privately or from less-financially secure outfits).

I saw an Anniversary many years ago that had been sold by a well known auction house who doesn’t know the car. The chassis was so rotten that it would need replacing, but this was prohibitively expensive. There are some right lemons out there, so buyer beware.

Well, what a great piece of advice this turned out to be. Not only has Mike sorted me a set of P-Zero tyres he's also provided advice on CV boot replacement and given me a contact to get the boots at a fraction of the price asked by official parts suppliers. He is extremely helpful and I will definitely use him to health check my car when I decide to sell (I fancy an Aventador some time in the future).

Incidentally there is some more info on the car on this thread, perhaps someone will find it helpful.

Not interested in buying it but still made interesting reading but the Boxer is growing on me or the price at the moment is,

Just got to put my rose tinted glass's on, lowering it may take your eye off the rear arches

and stop it looking like a 4x4, scratchchin

Relatively few - a blu Acapulco Anniversary supplied new to Ingham (maybe dealer Martin Ingham alt he says not) then to Nair and a red Anniversary new to Julian Smith in Jersey and registered J6268.
It was definitely Martin Ingham as that is where I purchased my car from and he told me he had it!!!
Nick - This looks like a good lead - please can you do me a favour and be more specific? Did you see the blue Anniversary when you bought your black QV?. Can you remember if he had it at the same time as yours (when was this) or had sold it before? I may have to look through some car mags from that era and see if I can find an ad of his maybe. Many thanks. Robert

Hi Robert,

I reckon I bought mine in 92/93 (Mike Pullen may be able to help here as the ignition pack failed within a month of ownership) from Ingham. I clearly remember him saying he had a blue Anniversary car stashed away as an investment and may have even quoted the number of RHD cars. Is it 8?

I did not see the car. In fact the only car I saw was mine. It's an old farmhouse with a load of old stone barns where I assume he kept the cars.

This thread may have a picture of the car?

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Hope this helps.

The last Koenig Boxer went for around £125K plus commission which was a surprise that it sold for that as it had previosly been advertise

by Bells for nearer £230K from memory ,did have a look at the collecting Cars sold list but wouldn't go back that far back,

Condition wasn't quite so good as the black car and had a change of colour which don't think would make any difference being nature of the

beast also had a altogether better shape to the rear wings and a lower stance plus was John Woodfields personal car .

Think this one is how long is apiece of string, Should fetch more but just how must more is anyones guess ,the owner obviously isn't

short of a bob or two so may rather keep it if not making near reserve, Doubt if the F.O.C will welcome it with open arms

so left to the individualist who likes something different waving two fingers at the purists.
