You are going to need a lot of patience if not collecting the Countach till after the NEC,

Suppose you will have to make do with driving the Perfotmante,599, Testarossa and the TVR till then ,

Have i missed oneconfused

Hard life but someones got to do it,smokinbiggrin

I'm struggling already rat rod!

Not many driving choices in the torrential rain here.

Does anyone know how easy it is to take the spoiler on and off?

You could try asking Harry Metcalfe, he's taken his rear spoiler off and put it back on a few times.

I have read that one option is to have a separate boot lid and just change that

To see your new baby at a show and not have even driven her yet, that is torture !!!!

If you mean the rear wing, then easy to do, couple of screws /either side. But you'll have some holes left. you could make a small blanking plate that is colour coded, prob easier and cheaper than trying to find a new boot.

Yes sorry I meant the rear wing.

From searching it does seem that Harry has two boot lids one with and one without the wing. Sounds like an expensive option if you can find a spare boot lid. Will have a look at it when I get it.

Hi! It was purchased by my father in law, he has been thinking about a Countach for years and has always wanted to find one that required restoration. This car coming up at auction seemed the perfect opportunity and after crunching the numbers and getting restoration quotes we knew the ceiling price for bids on the day, which wasnt far off laugh

Car is being prepped to be sent to Italy where the work will begin, will update on the project on here and on instagram if people are interested.

I’m sure that it’ll be absolutely fabulous once Valentino’s people have finished with it.

Another vote for a restoration thread - would be great to have an insight!

I’d love to have the money to finance something like this so I’d like to live vicariously - as many of us do on here!

Kudos to your FiL for taking it on.
