The car looked in good condition even under the strong fluorescent lights,
Could have been bought after the auction for £287,500 including buyers commission which is near their top estimate.
Don't know if there was any takers.

I still chuckle at Mr Macari trying to sell my a 360 (I was after a 996 turbo) back when he had that 10 car (at a squeeze) showroom in the middle of Wandsworth one way system. Saw that my first Zonda there, silver one about a year after lauch, was about £200k IIRC - oh if I had the money back then

Joe took over after the previous dealers there Blackwater pulled the old SOR/don't pay customers scam and ran off. I think Joe came in around 2001 or possibly 2000 if you say it was a year after the launch. Interesting thanks, could have been a bit later, I remember being shocked at the depreciation, as I think they were 325-350k new, and it was only a year or 2 old, probably worth 5x that now.He is quite a character especially back in those days.

Going back a bit now, Sold Danny Donovan a white 308 GT4 and a mint 60's Merc 300SE Coupe when he owned Straight Eight.He was driving a Austin A35 van when i first met him, now trading in Kew as DD Classics.
Bought a Pantera GT5 from Pullicano's who from memory were in Kimber Road ,
As most showrooms in London at the time was a little lived in but with plenty of character unlike the clinical marble palaces of today.

While walking through the Revival classic car park at Goodwood one year stood a blue Aston DB4 convertible ,exhaust stained rear bumper and paintwork , A well ingrained fly splatted nose and windscreen
but not only the fresh ones from the days drive but from years of previous long fast drives .
Along with this the paintwork was dirty and grubby like a car that hasn't been washed or polished for years, likewise the chrome
wire wheels were caked in brake dust and general dirt, made a refreshing change from the sea of over restored concours E Types,
Ferrari's ,Healey's and other Aston's that surrounded it but this must sound really strange but what really made it for me was a Heathmans
rear window sticker which had the same patina as the rest of the car, Remember thinking that i bet the owner bought it from them all those
years ago, It was like a time warp, took me back to the classic dealers like ,The Garage On The Green, Paradise Garage
Pullicano's , Claredons of Chelsea and Portman's i would visit when in London as well as the vintage specialists in the Mews off Cromwell
Road . Most now have been turned into private houses , Sorry gone miles off thread it's just the mention of Heathmans reminded me of my
visits to the London dealers.
