I was just looking through some photos and found this old thing - probably one of the first digital photos I took.
This was at Silverstone, after the British Grand Prix in 2003. I think this is an area of the circuit which has since been redeveloped, but I'm not sure.
I wonder if anyone can identify the car and find it now?

I was an 11-year-old Lamborghini fan at the time, so I was probably dead chuffed smile

Good to see interest in the front engined cars on this forum - I was beginning to think it had become exclusively Countach ( yes I am also a fan).

I too recall seeing the Espada at Silverstone and have photographs.

Registered 821 MPA - a series three (if I recall correctly) Espada.

I have not seen the car since 2003 and note it is not on the DVLA data base under the above registration.

Perhaps it is resting off the road like most Espadas.

With rising values we should see more cars slowly returning to good health.

Perhaps we can start an Espada thread with photos?

This Espada belonged to me at the time and was photographed outside Terry Keys Ferrari awaiting an engine rebuild that Terry Keys couldn't be bothered to do so after 6 months I had it trailered back and sold sight unseen to a wealthy gentleman from the Middle East who had the whole car restored by Colin Clarke ( at a cost no doubt of circa £50k).

I bought the car for £12.5k from the Garage on the Green in 2000 on the strength of a £18k engine rebuild by the previous owner at Colin Clarke but I believe the engine never ran right from day one and even broke down on the day I collected it from London although it did look good on the hard shoulder of the M40!

Bought with my heart for the sound of the V12 but a massive disappointment as it had a knackered engine.. And it was rotten as a pear...spent £12.5 k on it trying to sort the engine and on cosmetics and then sold in 2004 for £10k as a non-runner which was a result as it was basically scrap. Unless you buy a fully restored example an Espada can easily swallow thousands..

See that my Espada wasn’t restored by the buyer but kept by Colin Clarke to restore and then use as his personal car. Shame it wasn’t restored to the original colour combination of white with a red leather interior. My non runner seems to have been transformed into the most expensive Espada in the world!

Feel for you Gialofly. The exterior And interior colour combos of the restored car do it No justice what so ever. Why on earth was it not restored to its original colour combo!!

In 1976, lets call him a dodge “ Film Maker” aquaintance of my already by then, Late Dads, pulled up outside the gun shop i was then working in, in Londons West End. As the “Boy”, i was tasked with helping him bring his things in from his car, which was a white S3 Espada. Ive often wondered what the registration number of this car was and what became of it!
There must have been very few white RHD S3 Espadas sold here, perhaps it was your old car ??
