This car was at Ville d'Este a few years ago and is owned by a well known collector in the Netherlands. The restoration was done some years ago I think about 8 or so . under the guidance of Joe Sackey, the well known Lambo expert and enthusiast from California who incidentally owns the lovely plum Countach 5000qv .

I really like the ex Alberto SIlvera ( ex hotel owner in Haiti graced by the rich and famous in period) car not least because it features heuer clocks on the dash that are stylish and its in the lovely Miura blood orange colour. I have met the owner at a Goodwood event and he is a gentleman so the car is with a very good home. I am sure Marcel of the Countach Register would know a lot more about the car.
I sure do orangeLP400 ;-)
But we were talking about a black/red 5000 QV also owned by Silvera.
You describe an orangeLP400 ;-) also delivered to him. Here it is on my www.countach-register.com
Almost all 150 LP400's are listed there, really amazing!

Nothing more exciting that checking emails after a day away and seeing 20+ post notifications!
Wow!!! Some amazing photos being unearthed and posted on here. Not to mention the great stories and histories of the cars. So envious of all your experiences.
Thanks everyone for all your contributions.
Don’t wish to sound greedy but hope there is plenty more to come.

Cheers

Bingo!!!! This is fantastic! YES!!! The plate says it all, thanks a lot. Gerrit sold this car to Dolf Meijers, who has a rental company. He painted the car white. Actually, my best friend hired that Countach for his wedding day! I went with him to pick the car up early in the morning. So i sat in the same seat as you dear Rkinzz ;-)
Here are some pictures from June 27, 1997. He is still married to the same girl, so it really helped I guess, haha!

Oh wow that looks completely different, did it still have the gold plaque on the glove box.

When we had it, it was an awesome special metallic black I will dig out some more pictures later.

Also at Carrera sport we have at least 2 lambos that need adding to your countach register

C701 BYX is pretty special to me too.
I remember seeing the magazine at a motorway services back in ‘86 as a 12 year old and for some reason whilst captivated by it I didn’t buy. I went back to the car and kept going on about the magazine - perhaps I baulked at the price, was probably all my pocket money gone - but anyway Mum got fed up with my nattering and told me to go back in the shop and buy it.
It was my first car mag featuring a Countach and still have the mag to this day.

Fast forward to 2007 and I found out the car lived quite local to me. Contacted the guy, told him about the magazine and asked if I could see the car. Two weeks later I found myself driving it!!!!! Amazing moment and one to cherish along with the magazine.
Oh and he didn’t have a copy of the mag so I found one on eBay for him, bought it and gave it to him as a thank you.

Thank you Ian for your kind generosity. Will never be forgotten.
Really love this story David! Good for you ;-)

Anniversary Countach No.1...
I have the name Stewe Cortis written by this car. Could this Anniversary have been owned by powerboat racer Steve Curtis?

Norwegian Bjorn Rune Gjelsten with Britain's Steve Curtis on the throttles of Spirit of Norway (Tencara/Lamborghini) took first place in the German Grand Prix on July 7

Then this Anniversary is probably KLA12429.

[quote=Robert W]My favorite photos are the groups of cars at Portman's Service Centre - I never saw large groups of brand new cars [e.g. Maurice posted a group of brand new Anniversarys earlier, which is great].If anyone has any more groups of new cars, please do post them.

Here are two from Portman in 1991 and 1992 and one from a Lambo Club UK pub meeting in Windlesham in 1991 (note the blue RHD LP400 hidden at the end and the yellow RHD Miura SV):

Dear Robert, this looks like another Iniezione black car, but not a red interior. Any other pics/info?

I'e come across another Countach that there has never been a photo of anywhere.

It is a red with black interior LP500S new to someone called Harvey Michael and registered A266SYM and then JR35.

Does anyone have a photo of a Countach on either of these number plates by any chance?

Hope you are all enjoying the hot weather.

Robert

This was an interesting QV Reg 210 QE, this had a Euro front end but a US rear end with the light and bumper treatment. Factory fit front and unmodified. I think this was from Qatar..I'll try and find a rear end pic.

Hi MaserCoupe, Do you perhaps remember if this black/white car also had yellow headlights?

Found this one of my sister standing next to the demo P250 in 1973.
I caanot recall if this was the first or second RHD car. We also had a Red car and had the registration numbers of 11NKO and UHO1 but I cannot recall which was first.
I do recall that the car had a habit of spitting back through the carbs resulting in a flame or two in the engine bay.
I drove this car down to Dorset for a car show in glorious weather in the summer of 73. There must be other photos of it somewhere.
This is the 4th Urraco to UK

If this was the 4th car supplied to the UK would you know details of the previous three cars? I recall a red/orange car but so much time has passed I cannot recall the other 2. It is possible that 2 of these 4 cars were registered in the UK and the other 2 were forwarded to Australia, as cars for that destination came via the UK at that time. Any knowledge?

If it's any help these were definitely taken in October 1989 at the Motorshow.

I concur. I was there as a kid and have pics of those cars. Fast forward to 1999 and I helped a mate buy the white car. I was tempted to buy it, but had just purchased a Diablo.

Interesting list.
Back in the day chassis numbers were not of interest. ( unless a warranty claim was being made.)
The cars were remembered by the name of the customer. i.e. The Joe Little Espada, the Patrick Lichfield Espada , the Peter Hay Miura etc ..

Fortunately The UK records were kept by Del H so they do still exist but if you asked me who owned chassis number xyz 123 I would not have a clue.
If you mentioned a particular owner I could probably recall a memorable journey in that car.
But to shoot myself in the foot.............this was the last Urraco I drove but for the life of me I cannot recall who owned it !
