As well as being researched by the above named, along with Kidston himself, the writing of the book was started a long time ago by Marc Sonnery, who interviewed key people who have since died, and was completed by Jon Presnell.

What Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens have to say about the Miura's engineering and styling will surely be fascinating.

Mine arrived, and it's certainly a weighty thing and will fill a few winter nights. The numbered copy thing is a bit disappointing though. Looks like pencil!

What a cracking little film. We were there last September, didn't see any Miuras or Maserati. Did see one or two well heeled beauties though - of the female kind

Apparently there's a companion volume "The Lamborghini Miura Register" coming detailing every one of the 762 built. price is £250 .got this info from " Octane" magazine. If quick you may get one and save yourself £150.
You never know like the new GT40 and F40 Kidston may bring out a second edition ,never say never. P.S

He certainly seemed to have reneged on the “limited to 762 copies” promise if you look on his website. As someone who was induced to buy this as a result of the limited production run (one per car), I think a little chat re misrepresentation is called for ...

In what way? I work with Simon. The books are limited to 762 copies plus some super editions at £1000s. All regular editions sold out - yours will already have appreciated considerably.

Register coming pre-Xmas is a different, companion book.

One was sold on eBay for £1,500 the other day. Still want that 'little chat'?

Scratching my head over this; it's already an expensive book and I can't think what on earth would possess you to spend 1.5K on it. Is it speculation?

It's the best book there has ever been on the Miura. No one will ever do a better one, some owners and enthusiasts missed out and just had to have it at any price.

Rare books do appreciate, particularly if they are definitive. The Bartz Dino book has appreciated in a similar manner, as have many others.

MMM had a drive in my young brothers Yellow Gallardo E gear ,very nice !!!!!but not too fussed about selling the 360

As well as my old faithful GTB i've got a F430 and a manual Gallardo , I prefer the F430 on the road and the Gallardo on the track.

Maybe because i'm getting old but the F430 is so much easier to drive in traffic where as the Gallardo can be a jirky process if not precise,

Funny really as i remember you telling me that the guy you bought the 360 from replaced it with a Gallardo .

They seem to share a similar market place.
