Cheap Lamborghini Espada ?

Any one see the Espada series 111 on "collecting Cars" Sold for £76,500 plus commission yesterday.
Looks a decent car, one owner the last 31 years, R.H.D, 77,000 kms, looks to me like a sensible price for a classic V12 Lamborghini
Were we caught napping or is that all it's worth ?

On the face of it that looked a very good price for a decent looking car. Has someone bagged a bargain I wonder? Even if there are some big bills its still £40- to 50k below market so the bills would have to be very large indeed before you're out of pocket.
How much did Harry Metcalfe spend on his engine rebuild with Iain Tyrrell? Think it was around 30k. This one had a rebuild in the early 90's. I doubt very much you'd avoid those big bills by spending £120k with a dealer. I keep looking at the one at Tyrrells and wondering why it hasn't sold...

I think the market must be so small but they find buyers eventually but wouldn't want a showroom full of them.
When i had mine they were almost worthless especially if they had a problem or two which mine had a plenty.
There's no short cuts to working on them so perhaps best pay as much as you can for a good one as i would
image the eye watering bills you could occur on a average car with all the heart ache that goes with it

Remember when you could buy a Countach somewhere between £25K/ £30K depending how average it was.If not in a position to pay for a engine rebuild i suppose driving round in a real Countach with the wrong engine is

Porsche Virgins had a red with red interior 5000 S marked up for £29,950 retail back in the real world days.
Sure £25K would have been the trade value around then.
Car was involved in a serious accident on the way back from a Lamborghini Club/barbecue meeting but not sure if that
was before or after they had the car for sale.
