I'm considering one of these as my way into owning a classic V12 Lamborghini. I can't run to a Muira and I don't want the size of the Espada. Is the smaller Jarama a good option with its smaller size but still with that classic V12 engine. Less made and Ferrucio said "I preferred the Jarama to all the others, because it is the perfect compromise between the Miura and the Espada."

I believe the Jarama replaced the model you suggested. More importantly it essentially has the same engine as both.

Most of the period road tests of the Jarama said it handled very well, no doubt partly due to it's relatively short wheelbase compared to the Espada, although in actual dimensions it's only ten inches shorter and an inch narrower than the Espada. If you can find a good one I'd say it's not a bad shout at all. One minus point in those period reviews is that the interior wasn't quite up to snuff compared to the other Lamborghinis of the time and the fit and finish left something to be desired, although I'd imagine any restored Jarama now will be better than new.

The most underrated and under valued Lambo ever made , not to everyones taste but i love the quirky lines, never owned one but garaged

the kermit green one for a friend that use to belong to a member on here,

Have already mentioned this on a previous thread so try not to bore you again , a near neighour of dads had one and would come down the

hill on overrun with the exhausts spitting and banging and floor it right under my bedroom window to get up the other side mostly always

to the red line. Did the same in his Dino but that didn't make my mum's oraments shake and the windows rattle like the Jarama did.,

Best get yourself onto the ‘Lamborghini Chat’ forum and ask around as they so rarely come up for sale, it’s probably the best place to start wink

The odd one or two crops up in some of the ‘70s Italian crime / thriller flics I’ve been collecting on dvd, on the screen they have just as much presence as other exotica of the time wink

Don't know how i missed this one, really enjoyed it ,

Iain must have one of the best jobs in the world and he gets paid for it .

He seems to have a very wide customer base with cars coming from everywhere, whenever I watch his videos I’m always looking to see what’s being worked on behind him wink.

I wonder what happened to that metallic bronze LHD Jarama that was on c&c for ages, presumably it finally found a new home (the one that was previously owned by Clay Reggazoni).

That had real paint problems .. I bid on it but didn't get it.
I remember rat rod mentioning the paint on it elsewhere on PH, I didn't think it looked too bad in the photos but you can't always tell from pics posted in an advert.

A photograph of ELB420J has recently been sent to me. It was taken in the mid 1970's in a central London Mews. This is the colour I remember the car. When MOTOR magazine tested the car in 1971 it was white. It went back to the factory in 1972 and was repainted brown and the red leather interior was changed to light brown. I drove this brown car back from the factory during the winter of 1972/1973.



The DVLA shows the car as currently being painted Blue, however when it was last sold in August 2021 it was painted yellow. I believe that the car is now located in the north of England.
