I think it's safe to see that the dealer has either a few log ins, or ala Verdi its own army of vested interest of fans who post up in his defence.
I'll leave the thread now, again as I say once bitten twice shy,
As another client of Alastair may I just say I found his service exemplary when he sold my 650S Spider under a Consignment Agreement in January this year. He delivered exactly as he promised and I would have absolutely no hesitation in either buying from or selling through him again.I'll leave the thread now, again as I say once bitten twice shy,
If that puts me in the “army of vested interest fan” category then so be it.

If you don't know a dealer or the people who have used him, or understand the realities of contract law, maybe you should think before you post.I'll leave the thread now, again as I say once bitten twice shy,

Sounds like a mclaren warranty is a must judging by posts on here...so I might go down the dealer route
You're probably better off getting a Bols car re-warrantied by the existing owner first before buying it if it's not already warrantied. Just include the warranty cost into the agreed price. SOR cars can transfer that between owners.Sounds like a mclaren warranty is a must judging by posts on here...so I might go down the dealer route
AB's warranty is 6 months, but extendable at time of purchase to 12 months. Not extendable after that, but you can get your car tested by McLaren and then warrantied on their Qualified scheme. You pay for the inspection, usually concurrent with a service to keep inspection costs down and then pay the fee for the warranty.
AB's warranty is similar to the McLaren Qualified warranty: same underwriter, work carried out in McLaren dealer etc. Single claims are limited to £10,000 (unlimited single claim with McLaren Qualified), but you can make any number of separate claims.
Both warranties are transferable between private owners.
