Just got mine back from Topaz whom have done ppf and a couple of exterior tweaks; namely darkening the ghastly rear reflectors either side of the rear plate, and making the diffuser 'pop' with some pinstriping. Video is on my Youtube of me 'revealing' it live last night if anyone cares enough, or on TopazDetailing social media.

For what it's worth, they have done an INCREDIBLE job with the ppf, Would have no idea there's film on it. And particularly important I would say for certain parts around the door and arches given the design of the car. Ask for the lovely Annabel if you do take it in, she will sort you out.

And re RamboLambo - a good friend has a 650s, and he even admits the 720s makes it look & feel like a an old shoe, (maybe my words). However the prices of preowned 650s's compared to the 720s specced with carbon everywhere, (esp at flippers pricing) mean they're literally half the price. No brainer value wise; unbelievable car for the money. I expect all else remaining solid in the economy, 720s to remain at a slight premium for next 6 months +

Every McLaren product gets better and better and their is no question 720S is a step up from 650S if you can roll with its radical/futuristic looks. Is it twice the car ? No, most definitely not. Apparently I'm McLarens biggest fan boy so I'm not knocking the 720S, far from it I think its more HYPERcar than supercar but not to my personal tastes but don't worry I already have another McLaren order lined up after a brief departure to two little Italians.

In fact the next 4 cars are all lined up but just like the Ferrari 360 I've decided to give the McLaren 720S a miss, but not to say I wont revisit it when they are below list.

I'm not sure if you can achieve any more in the crassness stakes.

Thanks to Tom and Woppum for sharing their ownership experiences in this thread. I'm not much of a McLaren fan if I'm honest but the 720s is a fascinating car and I'm looking forward to seeing one in the metal as it were.

Guys, what's the reaction to it like when you're out and about? It's such a bold design it must get a hell of a lot of attention?

In my glacier white one, it's treated as though you are trundling down the road in a space shuttle. It causes chaos.
On the whole people love it, nowhere near as much abuse as my black (noisy) Huracan & lava GT3 RS got, and way more on the radar than my black F12.

I wasn't worried. But thanks for pre-empting & alleviating any fears I may have had about your upcoming garage line-up.

Tom, will your car be at the Blenheim supercar show on September 3rd? I'm local to Blenheim so I'm hoping a 720s will be there.

Maybe I could post it on my YouTube channel and then tell everyone I'm going to wrap it and put an after market exhaust on it 🤣

I am not one to defend RamboLambos views, but at least he is buying cars for his pleasure and amusement, and not for self publicity or internet stardom...My view is that only the people who have talent should seek fame.
