LT Market Activity
Discussion
If the cars are priced to sell they will sell regardless of CS.
Truth of it is these cars aren't achieving list or overs anymore.
TH had a spider for £300k and even through the colour combination wasn't the most desirable it sold with in a week, TH had an orange car in the summer for £310 and that sold relatively quickly, same with clinkards who's orange car went down to £320 from memory and probably did a deal to shift.
In comparison Ascot have an orange spider that was £360 6 months ago and hasn't gone anywhere - they've dropped it a couple of times but at £340 it's still £10 over list and won't be going anywhere quickly.

Are these selling if they aren't CSL spec?
I see the same cars advertised at the same prices and some I am sure have been there for over a year now.
Fancy one but would like to get in at a price point that the market moves at rather than the owners/dealers are hoping it moves at.
What is "CSL spec"? I see the same cars advertised at the same prices and some I am sure have been there for over a year now.

There has been a lot of recent purchases of LT's on the owners group, probably at least one a week over the summer. Also lots of chat about searching for and buying an LT. From what I can see demand is higher than it has ever been, probably as the cars have approached list price and potential owners see this as a fair price to buy their dream car. I haven't heard of any being purchased below the original list but certainly original list (plus options) seems about right for a coupe with some miles.
I think (but I may be wrong) all the clubsport package added was a roll Hoop in Brushed Titanium, 4-Point Harness and Fire Extinguisher. Unless you want to track extensively no-one I know of seems to actively seek out this spec or pay extra for it. All those items can be easily added later.
What is super desirable is a roof scoop (I believe there are only around 30 in UK?). AS much CF as possible and Carbon Fibre Racing Seats. The seats are probably the most discussed option. Some LT's have comfort seats and some prefer that for road use but most people want the buckets. Comfort seats are the one item that will bag you a lower priced bargain and a roof scoop will always be higher priced.
So there is quite a lot of activity and some cars being bought outside the dealer network or before being advertised (little black book). Cars that are sitting are at very high prices and not representative, market activity is very active at the moment.
This is just what I have picked up from the members group in posts and chit chat.

I've been looking for a while and prices have definitely dropped recently. AB even had a low miles spider up for £310k at one stage having dropped it from £330 from memory but I missed out on that one.
Its a similar story with 458 Speciale where prices have dropped but are still high in relation to list.
Lots of cars at silly prices have been sat for ages whereas those ahead of the downward curve are moving and probably netting a better return in the long run when the high ones eventually get reduced.
The market is only going one way for the next few years so I'm happy to sit tight and wait for the right spec/right price car which I will pay list price for but not overs

I went and saw this car at the weekend and it is stunning in the flesh, but to be honest I have no idea if the price is a decent deal or not. Can anyone give me some informed comment, please?

Unfortunately I am not in the market, this question is just out of curiosity.

It's a one off MSO special. Pretty sure it was previously advertised at over £400k. Must be under list price now with those options so if you like the special paint a reasonable deal but less so if you are not fussed about the paint.https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Certainly unique but who pays £30k new just for MSO paint job which is not worth anymore as a used car

I'm sure I read in previous posts of yours, that the 650s is definitely going to appreciate but now you also believe the 675 will depreciate. It's a minefield isn't it.
Just in my opinion (as an owner) I think they will continue to drift whilst so many are for sale and McLaren themselves refuse to stand behind their product.A good friend had to sell his LT due to unforeseen circumstances.Gave McLaren first refusal but they had zero interest so yet another car falls outside the network. In a couple of years when the backlog has been cleared I can see them coming back but not for now.The trade will bid well below list on these AFAIK.As I say,I have no dog in this fight.I own one and it is definitely a keeper.

I've seen it too and indeed it's a very striking spec. Sure someone will snap it up. I think Romans sold it once before.https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

However I had a good look around this at Ascot last week when I was filming with their 720S demo. It's the most stunning LT I've seen yet, the spec is just spot on (for me). Were my numbers to come in tomorrow I'll be there in a shot!

This will still be around in Spring along with the other one they have.

Alistar Bois and Clinkard sold similar spec cars in the Summer for around £310k - Ascot have another orange car that they've had for at least 6 months that started @ £350k and still hasn't sold, The fact it only has around 1000 miles but the tyres look like its done that all on track surely doesn't help its appeal.

The Bols car wasn't as high spec as this as I tried to buy it but at the same time this one is not worth £55k more even with the unique high MSO content. This will still be around in Spring along with the other one they have.
I think a more realistic price is probably £25k less which is still ore than what I want to pay for one ( self imposed max budget £320k ) but it is stunning all the same

Whatever you do, don't go and see it then, that self imposed max would float away I think a more realistic price is probably £25k less which is still ore than what I want to pay for one ( self imposed max budget £320k ) but it is stunning all the same
Seeing your name made me think, I don't think I've seen a Volcano Red LT yet. Odd as it was the best colour for the 650S.
Edit: Oh myyyyyyy
